Well, it very probably has an "S" and a "G" in its title and I'm not referring to BSG.
(The latter show likes to trumpet its guest talent anyway, which is how we know that Lucy Lawless and Michelle Forbes will be on upcoming episodes.)
Surely it's not coincidence that "late July-early August" happens to coincide w/ the shoot for Ripple Effect. Let's hope this becomes an annual event—at minimum!

I'm not sure I understand your question but, IMO, Teryl is irreplaceable. She's a very special performer and (by all accounts) person, all of which came through on Stargate. When Janet Fraiser died, the show died a little bit too.

I was slightly iffy of the new doctor before I watched Avalon 2, but after seeing her on the screen I'm certainly not going to be hating her character. Though it did seem wierd having an infirmary scene like that without Janet
It'll also be interesting to see how Sam and Dr. Lam play out together, considering Carolyn is meant to befriend Sam. Might be a good oppurtunity to have Sam showing a little bit of angst over Janet...

Well, everyone has an opinion, it would seem.

AFTER seeing "Dr. Lam" on Avalon, Part 2, I realized just how much I missed Janet Frasier.

I'm not going to go into all the reasons for my opinion, just that where Janet Frasier showed compassion, humanity and caring, as well as being a darn good doc, Dr. Lam seems to written as a 2D, cardboard cut out of a doc.

And I still don't understand WHY a civilian? At least tell me she is overly qualified for the position....please!
