I have to pop in and say I found Kanaan unattractive as a hybrid, but when he's his normal self he's not bad-looking at all.

I've seen him only as hybrid, maybe I'd change my mind.

Although hotness is not the most important thing to me, what I don't like is this guy popping out of nowhere. I know Teyla is supposed to know him for years but, I didn't!

Same for me, actually. I was not happy about their shipping decision until Season 5, but I'm pretty solidly shipping Teyla/Kanaan now.

Something that bothers me about Stargate is their use of character names. Like Sarah. Jack has one, and Daniel has one!

I agree. It's too bad they reuse (or almost reuse: Jack/Sara, Daniel/Sarah, Teyla/Kanaan, Shayla/Kanan...) names on the show.

I also think it's kinda strange to just pop Kanaan out of nowhere, just for Teyla. I'm fine with them as a couple, though.
I truly don't find him attractive at all (I've voted for Kanan instead on a hot males of Stargate, I think ) - anyway...hot or not does not really matter for me when it come to whether I ship someone or not. I ship Jack/Anise/Freya somewhat, and Jack is in no way attractive (IMHO).

I really do not think Jack O'Neill is hot/attractive/good looking/sexy - as either young or old, but I know I am a (very) small minority

Anise is the symbiote (and interested in Daniel). Freya is the host. She prefers Jack.
