Is it impolite to rant about inappropriate and overuse of ellipses in the thread where such happening occurred? My brain had serious comprehension problems until I forced it to over-ride the pauses it kept putting in.
Also, GW is not making my posting life happy.

It just makes me sorry for the other poor punctuation symbols being left out in the cold. (And also mildly amazed at my self-control.)
It may not be as bad as the new fangled idea of using tildes to emphasise words. ~Why~ would anyone want to do that?

They are awesome
I write essays within the arts and humanities domain, so I end up writing very lengthy descriptions, analyses, full of many quotations. As a result my punctuation covers pretty much everything, and you will find them liberally sprinkled throughout, especially if they help to create a sentence of near Ciceronian proportions
Tildes are useful. Ya know, if you speak a language that actually relies on them. Which English doesn't...
