I've really come to love him with hair. And without the gold paint.
As to why few Teal'c fans? Maybe they're just less vocal. Teal'c is a fierce warrior and loyal to and caring of his friends. What's not to love? And CJ has good looks, a great smile and intelligence. What's not to love?

Perhaps some sense admiration for me, I mearly stand to fight for what I believe.

I don't mind that he's lost the gold paint and the eye shadow...oh, I liked it fine...it made him more "alien"...but I just hope they don't make him any more "human". I miss the little pauses he would have when viewing humans and their behavior. I like that we are the aliens, as far as he is concerned. I hope it stays that way.

Yes, he's become more comfortable with humans and that's fine, but he is still an alien and has different sensibilities about a lot of things. One of the things that would be great to explore more is this tension between his friendship and loyalty to the Tauri (esp. SG1) and to his own people.
