i fifth that. we're little angels, i tell you, little angels
i can see it now. customs at heathrow....they are puzzled as person after persn comes through, each with a baton in their luggage. perplexed, they simply write it off as yet another loony thing for people to do
No need to bring them across the pond dear friends... I cn assure you I am now in posession of an orange ended and a purple ended baton.... these will be stored carefully in the for the next convention box...
Don't be absurd. You'd have to have seen the film over and over!
Cast off the shackles of yesterday!
Shoulder to shoulder unto the fray.
Our daughters' daughters will adore us.
And we're singing grateful chorus.
Well done! Sister Suffragette!
Um... singing songs from Mary Poppins is vaguely on topic right?
I can't do any of Mary Poppins (virulent allergy to Disney) but I can do Rocky Horror, word for word, both libretto and script (why is no one surprised by this?).
Has anyone asked Amanda which musicals she'd like to appear in? With her gift for comedy, I could see her as Janet. Mmm, Amanda as Janet, would pay good money to see that.

Of course... According to Mitchell Sam is a veritable Mary Poppins.
Hey Sky! Time to break out that sig! What was it?
"Don't make me go SuperCalaFragalistic on your "hindparts""?
Amanda liked our shirts too. We got extra photos cause she wanted group shots with the "survivors". Though two of our group were stewards so they couldn't wear their shirts for the piccies.
Oh, and congrats on 500!
Spots Mandy and *waves*.
Missed your post in my effort to catch up (frustrated by the GW problems). Would love to see the group photo. Did you all stand with your backs to the camera so you could see what the shirts said?
Thanks to Pengyn, SamJackShipLover and Mala for the sig.
I think I know all the words... *sings in head...* Most of em
And of course the song to the same tune...
Spoiler:
The Pi Song
by Joel Gilmore
(Sung to the tune of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious)
Note also that all digits should be read separately, as “Three point one four one five etc”!
To find a circle’s area will often make you queasy,
It’s not just simply length by width or anything that easy.
But then one day you’ll find a number that will help your brain,
It might be transcendental but it’s sure to save you pain!
Oh!
Chorus:
3.141592653589
If you were to say it all then you’d be here a long time.
Multiply by two r and then you will have a curved line
3.141592653589
If you were to write Pi to several hundred thousand digits,
Any who saw patterns there I’d have to say were id(j)iots.
The proof that Pi’s irrational is just too long for now,
But if you ask your maths teacher I’m sure he’ll show you how!
So if you have a sphere whose volume you must quickly know,
It’s simply one and one third Pi by r cubed don’t you know.
But better use it carefully or Pi can lose its gloss -
(Spoken) Ahem, for instance, one night I used it on some trig,
And now my sin’s a cos!
Ooooooohhhhhh!
(Chorus, speeding up to a grand Pi finale!)

My cousin's friend wrote it and we have been singing it since we were about 10. Heeeeee! I bet Sam would approve
Ooooh! Three point one four one five nine two six five three five eeeeiiight nine!
Ah, sorry we have plans hatched already. Done *and* dusted. The way to make "get offs" work and be hilariously funny is to come up with stunningly different ones each time.
I'll be saying no more on the subject...just wait and see....

Ok, now that the "get offs" have been planned, has a date for the weekend been chosen as well? hmmm? *innocent looks*

I actually know the song *very* well as someone close to me actually loved the movie well enough to play it over and over for months. When I saw the cut from the movie go up with the lyrics underneath, I couldnt help grinning and start singing to myself during it as I watched Amanda.
