did anyone read the fic i recommended?

i'm going to spoiler tag it as to not give anything away to those that haven't read it yet.

Spoiler:

i found the writing for vala and mitchell very interesting, especially vala. *this* was the kind of meaty stuff (not the subject) that the writers needed to put forth to make vala more than just a flirty toy.

but the scene that i had been reading that made me want to promote this fic was...

when jack was horribly beating the man that had horribly beaten sam... i felt this... it's weird to explain, but it made me realize that if someone ever hurt someone that i loved, i would be capable of doing this same thing.

in the fic, though, the guys are being compelled to be more violent (because of a chemical agent in a specific food), but i still think jack would have beaten this man, maybe as bad as he was, whether he was being chemically urged on or not.

if anyone read the fic, they'll know what this group of men did to sam and vala... the team killed them all, and they deserved it.

i think a good writer can bring you into a moment so deep that you're along for the ride. i felt jack's hatred and anger.

another note of the fic i liked was when sam and vala are thinking back to what happened to them, but relaying it to jack and daniel (separately). but what i loved was both sam and vala thinking the other's contribution saved her and them all.

and on another note, i remember amanda saying that since she's got little olivia now, she's capable of killing to protect her. oh yes...

You guys are very kind. The truth is, I was so (gobsmacked<g>) last year by how much the GABIT folks did and how many people came together to raise money for Hearing Dogs, I really wanted to be able to give something back too. Unfortunately, I'm not rich enough to bid high on things, I don't have a super flying magic credit card (*coughAmerbmooncough*) and about the only "cool" skill I have is drawing, so ... it had to be that. And then I'm thinking: who the HECK would wanna actually PAY for one of these??? But I have enough friends 'round here that I'm hoping we can support the geek!!! Plus, if THAT fails, there's always Ambermoon's credit card.... she'll bid on ANYTHING.
