I wonder if there are any women gunslingers in this month's theme. There was, after all, Calamity Jane, and a couple of others (Barbara Stanwyck's character in The Big Valley was quite good with a gun).

To my inexperienced ear, amanda can carry a tune but hasn't learned how to project while Pascal, obviousy, knows how to sing and project her voice.

There is an extra on the DVD on the making of this episode. Pascale is a classically trained singer, whereas Amanda is not and has never really sung ( though presumably she will have done some throughout her time at university) I think they were given a bit of coaching before shooting the episode, and apparently Amanda was amazing and got it in the first take

Dana Scully from the X-Files was a pretty sharp shooter (although she liked shooting Mulder lol).

Annie Get Your Gun is a musical based on the story of Annie Oakley. Contains a song with some of my favourite lines ever: you can't shoot a male in the tail like a quail, oh you can't get a man with a gun.

My other fav is from Mary Poppins (the Suffrogette song): although we adore men individually, we must agre that as a group they're rather stupid!

sooo, i wonder where amanda is moving? i'm guessing it's still in vancouver. and i wonder when we'll find out about this new series she's trying to get going... can't wait to find things out!!
