It's called "personal shoppers". The larger department stores have them. They basically know your tastes and pick out a bunch of stuff. You just show up, try them on and buy what you like.

My sis-in-law has used this service, so it's not just for pretentious celebs, so it's possible AT uses one.

I'm just saying.

I do like that dress. Want. Though I would never have an occasion to wear it.

"Tapping on Atlantis and Sanctuary
Alongside the full casts of Eureka and Battlestar Galactica, Amanda Tapping looked a little lonely as the sole representative of the Stargate franchise. In fact Tapping was doing double duty, as she's splitting her time these days between Stargate Atlantis and Sanctuary, the web-originated Victorian-era fantasy series created by Stargate writer Damian Kindler that was picked up by Sci Fi in January. Tapping told me she thought Sanctuary was a great fit for Sci Fi, saying that the new series was turning out "even better than I expected," partly because the network has a real knack for this kind of material. She does seem happy to be playing a maverick like Helen Magnus, someone who's "the opposite of Carter" in many ways.

Regarding her reduced involvement in season 5 of Atlantis, Tapping said she didn't know how many episodes she was in this year: she filmed the start of the season with the Atltantis crew, then switched over this month to the 13-episode run in front of the green screens with Sanctuary. Once she's done there she returns to Atlantis to film at least part of the end of season 5. When I asked if she's ever get to do a show that wasn't on Sci Fi, she laughed and said, "Sci Fi pretty much owns my ass.""

ITV4 is to air a new stylised sci-fi series from the makers of Stargate SG-1.

Sanctuary uses live-action actors with green-screen shooting and CGI
to create a graphic novel feel along the lines of movie Sin City.

A 13-part series is in production for the Sci Fi Channel in the US.

Dave Fewings, ITV4 channel editor, said it would go to air in the UK
later this year. He said: "Coming from the team behind Stargate and
starring Amanda Tapping (Stargate), Sanctuary couldn't have a better
sci-fi pedigree. It's absolutely at the cutting edge of the genre."

The show began as an internet production in May 2007 and was picked up
for television after proving a hit.

Sci Fi Channel's Mark Stern said previously: "We were blown away by
the level of quality they have been able to achieve on a web budget.

"We loved the world they'd created, and we particularly loved their
approach, since we had been looking for a way to apply the virtual-set
CGI environment from films like 300 and Sin City to a television
series."

I think there is a chance... I've seen more promotion for Sanctuary than I ever saw for any of the Stargates....

The poster looked so much cooler on paper . Anyway most of page was a big long interview with Amanda (Yay), and she mostly talked about the show like Helen's history and all the men in her life, how Carter's different from Helen and some other cool stuff . She also talked about the shows size, "This show is big enough in its scope and its size ans its scale and its budget to warrent TV. It's almost too big for TV"

Damian had some nice things to say about Amanda too, he said "Amanda has a real head for negotiation and bossiness and has stood tall up against some of the scary banks and lawyers who needed to be stood up to."

i'm looking at the new fall preview issue of the tv guide, looking for sanctuary tidbits. now, i haven't looked through the entire magazine (just the part that covers cable tv), but here's what it says about sanctuary:

sanctuary (premiers friday, 10/3, 9/8c, sci fi)
stargate's amanda tapping plays an immortal doctor who protects nature's abnormal creatures in her secret lair.

i hope there's more in the tv guide than that , but it's better than being ignored.
