Hi Everyone,

How's everyone? Sorry I didn't post here much yesterday I was lurking but I was playing on the Shipmas tread and getting the last things sorted for Christmas, so are Samanda's ready for Christmas?
I just want to say Thank You to each and every one of you, I really enjoy coming here every day and getting to know everyone, and also thank you for all hugs and good wishes you gave to my Mum and me, it means a great deal to me. If I don't get time to post again before Christmas I hope everyone has a wonderful time

Oh, that sucks. I sent her one a couple of days after I got the e-mail. I also sent her a christmas card yesterday. Hey speaking of which, since it's almost christmas, who here has sent her a christmas e-mail, or a christmas card?

I sent a card for Amanda to her Bridge Address, I hope she gets it not to late, I sent it when I was sending my Samanda cards so fingers crossed

First off sorry it's been so long but I got bogged down with so much that today was first day I could read everything....god you people are prolific!!!!

Anyway, I've bookmarked all the stories for a few hours of SG goodness and I've giggled over the captions so I just thought I should comment on a few things....

I'm way past legal drinking age here, but I'm forever being carded whenever I go out. I kinda grin when I hand my license over cos by now I know the surprised looks that I'll get. It's fun!

Okay, I can empathize here. When I was a kid I was always mistaken for being older then I was...think 12 when I was 8. As I got older this trend reversed and when I was 20 I was mistaken for 16 (a very bright one I might add). Now that I'm 27 I'm carded at everything!!!! In fact I was in a casino one night and I got carded 4 times! (Two were random floor cardings). It's embarassing. Half the time they dont' even want to believe the ID and its only because I'm going in with people that are my age that they believe I'm that age too. I'm hoping this bodes well for when I do hit 40.

question:

would you prefer sam to lead atlantis or lead sg1?

I haven't really watched enough Atlantis to make this judgement yet (hoping Santa is really good to me this year to solve this problem) but I'd have to say that being in charge of Atlantis might be a waste of her talents. She needs to be out it the field and I can't see her staying behind. Keep her on SG-1 I think.

As for the holidays. . . MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to everyone. I'm really thankful that you are all so nice and welcoming and that you've been such good friends to Amy when those of us over the water couldn't be there for her. Samanda fans are hard to beat!

Sounds like everyone is vamoosing for the holidays. Hope y'all have a nice one with plenty of fun. I'll be doing my usual lurking around here on and off of course. With things being as they are for me right now, a little get together with friends on christmas day will be the extent of my frivolity. Now New Years eve is a whole complete matter. Can't wait!

Heh...I carry two forms of ID because people don't like to believe the ID I have....the fact that both my forms of ID are British and I am in the US doesn't help, but it does get frustrating...

Uhm...I have no idea what it is that you are asking us to do here...you want us to record a message to S3M for the holidays???...Is that the phone number for S3M???...I'm assuming we get an answering machine!!...I wouldn't mind actually calling from here but to be honest...I wouldn't know when I'd be able to actually do that...or how to do it...I rarely make overseas calls and even when I do I never know what the heck I'm doing anyway...I'm sure it's a fluke when I get through!!...I probably should mention that I'm no good at talking on the phone...it makes me nervous...can't for the life of me figure out why!!

One year my sister gave me a box of tampons. (I had yelled at her earlier in the year for using all of mine without telling me. It was Thanksgiving night, and no stores were open.) After I unwrapped it, not only was I mortified, so were my father, stepfather, brother in law, brothers and mother. Needless to say, that never happened again.

I didn't send out Christmas cards, but I will send out Happy New Year cards, so I'll send one off to Amanda then. There's always so much going on in December that I never get around to it despite my good intentions. I've also sent out cards during summer vacation. I figure the point is to keep in touch, so why not? While I would have liked to have done the card exchange here, I knew I wouldn't get it done. There's always next year, right?

Carter was pwning up replicator bugs so that was kinda cool. that and Tomin in general were probably the best things about the movie really, it was pretty average otherwise. semi-disappointed tbh, but I wasn't expecting much else. Hopefully Continuum will be prime
