What a beautiful story! It was really sad, but at the same time the Jacob/Selmak relationship was very sweet and I loved the parts about Sam.

Maybe the writers will surprise us and, instead of going with the "classic" (aka "crap" and "cliched") approach and having Cam hewoically slay the nasty, mean dragon, Sam can come up with a plan that is actually intelligent and figure out how to exploit the dragon's physical weakness - if I remember Harry Potter correctly, it's their eyes - and take him out with a minimum of physical risk to herself and her teammates.

There's an idea. Cam can amuse himself by trying to slay the dragon with a sword for a few hours, without so much as scratching it and then when he finally gives up and/or passes out from exhaustion, Sam comes within a few feet of it and the dragon drops dead.

Seriously, golfbooy has had a crappy day. And we seem to have been quite chatty, too, so I'm a little behind things here.
