so, does anyone think it would be completely awesome if in the opening episode of season 10 (also spoilers for atlantis season 2 and sg1 season 9)
Spoiler:the wraith arrive in our galaxy right where our big ori battle is going on, and beam sam aboard their ship where mckay and ronon are, and then an all out 3 way battle breaks out? we'd get to see sam interact with mckay, and see the wraith up close. plus we'd get to see ronon and the wraiths reactions to seeing a spacesuit. i don't quite know how they'd get out of there, but i'm sure i could come up with something, and if i could do it, the writers sure as heck should be able to do it better.
loving the new spoiler tags btw. really different, and will take some getting used to, but much easier to deal with.

Well, since it is our beloved Jester's birthday, I feel it only aprospos to express my sentiments in verse:
*ahem*
There once was a girl from Nantucket...
Whoops. Wrong poem. Let me try again.
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
...
...
...
WHAT DO YOU MEAN I PLAGERIZED ELIZABETH BARRETT BROWNING?!?!??
I came up with that all by myself, I'll have you know. If anything EBB took it from me!!! You believe me right?!?? Right????
(not buying it, are ya hunh??)
Okay...for REAL now. Honest.
Dearest Jester of PA
Your presence brightens our day.
Your smile is so sunny
Your posts, OH so funny
From Samanda please don't ever stray.
And now your birthday has come
(A wonder of wonders to some).
If Amanda were here
She'd wish you great cheer
And offer you hugs and some rum.
But in her stead we all
Shall have a great ball
With smiles, drinks and laughter
We'll remember long after
Until in drunken stupors we fall.
And then the next morning,
we'll remember the warning
Of previous celebrations
And earlier inebriations;
The icepacks our heads now adorning.
Then we'll plan for next year
For less alcohol and beer;
but more chocolate and cake!
We'll not again make THAT mistake.
Unless Skydiver thus orders all here.
And then...well, we're all screwed, aren't we???
THE END.
Happy Birthday CG!!!
Hiccup Comatose Regime!

Originally posted by Tracy JaneWell, I've never learnt it, really. But I lived with 27 Londoners and 3 Welsh in my first year at uni, so I picked up a few things. Here's a website dedicated to rhyming slang.

OK, so I thought some of us would like to know "Angus MacGyver" is slang for "Skiver," used in a sentence like, "You're a right Angus MacGyver."
Now... If only I knew what "Skiver" meant...Last edited by the dancer of spaz; 15 March 2006, 02:31 PM.

You know, many moons ago (when I was in the 6th grade), I won a Virginia State Championship for poetry. Those were the days. But unlike CG, poetry is not my preferred avenue of expressing myself artistically (I prefer writing stories and graphic art) so I think I'll leave the poetic verse to the experts.
Oh, and as the Royal Keeper of the Spirits, you should keep the "Hiccup Comatose Regime" bit on tap for future use.

As for Jaffa Cakes....I thought they were a joke, but my local grocery has started carrying them. Guess it's time to buy a package and try them. I'll let you know what I think. On fighting:
