See, I'm not expecting it to be Stargate SG1. I look at it as if it is a new spinoff. I mean, no Jack, different bad guys. There isn't very much good scifi out there so I hope that it's a good spinoff, like Atlantis, but it's not the same show. It just has some of the same characters. I reconciled myself to that when RDA decided to retire. And I love him for his reasons.

Well I think you have the right idea Meimei and that is the only way I can look at S9. I just wish TPTB had thought along similar lines.

I recently purchased a book on Amazon.com called Stargate SG-1: The Essential Scripts. There is a pic of RDA from the Episode Abyss. The caption reads: "Abyss features a tour de force performance from Richard Dean Anderson" It certainly does.

I second the AMEN SISTA! What I'm tired of is all the 'sacrifices' everyone else had to make to accomodate RDA's shorten shooting schedule the last couple of years. Up until this season, it was no problem and now it's like...thank heavens we don't have to do 'that' anymore! Totally chaps my you-know-what!

I'm going to miss him...who won't....he's HOT (he definitely makes my heart beat out of control)...but he's leaving for all the right reasons!

I'm definitely going to miss this!

I bought that book as well, Rural. I love reading the insights and what's neat is that you can play the episode and read exactly what RDA ad-libbed or changed.
