We've all seen this picture countless times but I'm going to post it anyway. To me it is one of the nicest captures of Jack in the whole series. RDA's sweet, gentle smile just melts my heart. This shot from Scorched Earth sums up all that is truly special about the Jack character and the man who plays him. Intelligent, witty, humble, and stunningly gorgeous.

My father has leukaemia. It's chronic, but we've been warned that it could change to a more dangerous form at any time. At the best he has fifteen years, and at the worst, a couple of months. Both my father's father and grandmother died of bowel cancer, so the doctors are keeping a close eye on it.
