When AT said her and RDA filmed a idyllc(sp?) scene together that was a dream. What if it was Jack's dream??? Replicarter(love that name!!) goes into Jack's head and sees this dream or she makes it up like Fifth did for Sam. If in the interview AT said that it was Sam's dream then ignore the suggestion!! Its been a while I think the interview came out before New Order was shown. Everyone thought that the scene she was talking about was gonna be in New Order in place of where and Sam's scene was... I dont know the exact interview sorry but I bet someone here does....

I like this idea, too! I've stopped reading the articles, but I do remember reading here 2nd hand about an idylic dream sequence between the two of them. I think we all assumed it would be in New Order, but obviously not.

I'm re-reading 'Born in Fire' because I needed to be a part of story with a strong female lead and a strong male lead where they have to pound out their own happy ending. Wishing TPTB read Nora Roberts (or J.D. Robb).

I think even AT said in an interview once that the *guys* wrote Sam to hard and too much like a wimp so she finally told them to write her like the other guys and SHE would bring the *Woman* to her. LOL and THAT was back in the earlier seasons and AT did an EXCELLENT JOB!!!!

So I think what we are seeing now is what happens when the *Guy* writers *try* to write Sam as a woman.....well It is true ..You can't write what you DON'T KNOW

Just wanted to say something to all of you who are so depressed right now (don't know you all well enough to say names and am too new to figure out how to quote numerous people). I feel so bad for you because I felt exactly the same way a few months ago. For me it was reading that was going to be in season 8. My brain couldn't take that and I shut down - didn't touch anything SG until about 3 days before New Order, when I came back here to the Shipper Family and came out of the depression only to be seated on the roller coaster(and I hate roller coasters!)

Been thinking alot about why I am so upset
*enters rant mode* It is because I feel violated. I know it is only a tv show , but I think you all understand. When I watch a show( whether it is SG1 or Jag or any other show) that uses ship to entice a cetain audience ( i.e. me) I know that I am being manipulated and that makes me uncomfortable, so I make an unspoken agreement with TPTB. I agree to let them manipulate me and they give me entertainment. If I let them manipulate me, then I have the power. I let them lead me through the flirtations, the obstacles, the red herring relationships because I choose to.

I feel violated because that is exactly what I did with SG1 - I did not ask for the ship, did not make the writers write it ( which they did in many eps, which I could go into detail and name but won't as I know I am preaching to the choir here ). I agreed to let them lead me into the ship and they have lead me down a path that I do not want to be on. Thus, they have violated the agreement I had with them . * exits rant mode*

Am I depressed? uh, no. Feeling violated? sort of, but not really (it's their property to do with what they want, I don't own it). But I am feeling offended and perturbed by the recents words and attitude of TPTB/AT who have chosen to take a negative stance towards many of their fans who find the PS character offensive. Plus the fact they've decided to have this character appear in 3 or 4 episodes out of 20 in what could be their last season makes me feel even more disenfranchised from the show. And that makes me sad.

My passion for the show is certainly waning. As I said, I'll still watch or download the episodes, but it's no longer a priority for me. And I'll still read and participate on the GW forums (and try to entertain you with my silly graphics ) because I enjoy the fans/friends that I've found here, but certainly with less enthusiasm for whatever happens to the characters and saga of SG1 in the end.

Anyway, for me the whole SG1 depression has morphed into sheer resignation - I still watch, still see ship, still think Sam and Jack will be together in the end, but I hold no hope that it will end like I think it
should .

Resignation. Yes, I think that's what I'm feeling, too. But it's slowly turning to numbness. At this point, even if in the end J/S get together, the journey has been tainted for me. As I said to JM, rollercoasters are fine by me. But I ride them voluntarily for the thrill - in anticipation of the twists and turns - that's part of the joy. But I feel like I've been forced - no, dragged - onto this (vomit-inducing) ride against my will and then laughed at and then taunted because I'm not enjoying it.

I have lost faith in TPTB and I am not sure I can get it back. So my heart goes out to all of you who are in the middle of the worst of the depression right now and I really hope that something comes along that makes us all feel better!

I've lost my faith, too and right now I don't think there will be anything they could come up with that will take this sour feeling away for me (unless it's a big, all out, sexy Jack/Sam centered resolution episode, and that won't happen, I'm sure of it). I don't want to see PS again! And I mourn the loss of a strong, confident Sam.

But hey, in the scheme of things, it's only a TV show afterall.... Granted, one that I've loved (for the most part) for 7.5 years. I own the Season 1-6 DVD sets, but refuse to buy any more. And while I can still watch and enjoy past episodes, I find that it's not with the same enthusiasm that I had before this whole BWC/Mr. P debacle started.

Years from now, looking back at this show, TPTB may end up in Old TV Show Purgatory with a lot of fans saying, "Oh, Stargate SG-1 -- I loved that show.......but I hated the last season.... it should have ended sooner... they really ruined it..." mainly because TPTB said, "This is our show, our vision, your (J/S ship fans) opinions be damned..." and then pushed it with such vengence in our faces until we said "we give up, we're turning you off...".

I would have hoped that they'd wanted the show to go out with a bang, not a whimper. <sigh>

How about "Nemesis/Small Victories?" I tend to think of those 2 episodes as 2 parts to the same episode. ANd how about "Grace?"
