a lot of people have been burned by false or misleading spoilers

sometimes you have to consider the source.

i have a couple of sources that occasionally feed me (and no i don't know any secrets at the moment)

usually, even when i do know something, i've been told under the veil of secrecy....i can't pass it on without breaking my promise

other times, there are sources out there that will, seemingly deliberately, tweak the spoilers so that they are kinda right, but not totally.

some do it to be ornry, some do it to be mean....and a couple of years ago there wre some deliberately wrong spoilers floating around because TPTB had a leak and they were trying to find it, so they'd lead wrong info, see where it ended up and see if they could plug that leak

Personally? i don't trust any spoiler unless it comes from a source i trust, which is 2-3 people....(and no, don't go thinking i'm talking to anyone from the studio, i ain't) or darren.

if it's not from these few sources, i take each and every spoiler with a huge grain of salt

Could i add that this thread is fun,interesting
and informative to read.
I think Sam and Jack both still have an interesting path to travel, bumpy and twisty
but they will get there in the end and with
Amanda being pregnant maybe with her conscent
they will write the pregnancy into the script
in a imaginative way, maybe add somthing to
the story about Jolinar dying in Sam and
what was done to Jack by the Asgard and
the Tok'ra that was placed in him and how
that might effect a baby Sam was having.
Hope that all makes some kind of sense to
all of you

I'll be alright with that as long as baby is off screen ..I loved the x-files but the baby should have been off screen though ..I understand why it was on screen ..Mulder was missing and the baby was the mulder related story line ..or plot device .


Pete being a plot device already ..if they write the baby in the story line ..it could be another plot device (2 plot devices for one show is a bit much)....but As you said they could still do it in an imaginative way ...as long as season 9 !!!!!starts like 2 years later or something like that and the baby is still off screen ..it would be fine ...but it would be too soon I think if it was more or less after the events of Mobius Would love to see the kid but just once like we saw that little baby called "Janet" in heroes 2.

I have also gotten some during the *time of trouble* for OT...BUT Shipperahoy Our thread Mod for the most part has already stated that she has reviewed the thread and she feels that the OT has not gotten overly out of hand and when it does she will say something.......

As far as OT goes as I've said before I wasn't overly concerned because it seemed that people were having a good time and I wasn't seeing or receiving any complaints. If people are going to get bent over it then I can crack down but, quite honestly, it depresses me that that would be necessary. And, people, don't take every red or gray ding seriously. There are phantom dingers out there who do that sort of stuff just to see people squirm. We've caught most of them and knocked them down to the point where their rep points given don't count anymore. That means their gray. Cough, cough, cough.

Anyway, I'd like to not become the billy-club bearing prison matron of the Shipper Thread so let's try to work this out.
