So in this way not even GW could keep us apart.

And in the chat room we don't have to worry about going off-topic. We can say whatever we like. Yesterday we somehow got into an international foods discussion. I think it was because a couple people didn't know what souvlaki was and it somehow branched off into an international foods discussion. And the night before that me and Siler kept falling into the gutter.

A friend and I have been emailing with Gary and Adam from Creation, since the Star Trek convention was announced for Dallas. They have both assured us that they are in the planning stages of a Stargate SG-1 con for Dallas.

Yay! Thanks SO much for the info - I'll be waiting eagerly for the announcement. I'm in Houston and that would be wonderful to have a convention that close!

I don't have any instant message things downloaded right now. My brother had to rebuild my computer after I contracted several viruses, and he made me promise not to download a bunch of "stuff" anymore.

I'm dreading the whole proposal scene and I'm really worried about how AT or TPTB have Sam accept it, i really hope we get to see some doubt and worry on Sam's part, but the only thing i'm absolutely dreading is Jacks reaction, if we see it.... I know that if he looks upset and broken-hearted it will be shippy cause it proves that he is madly in love with Sam but it will be really bad cause it is Sam that is putting him through so much pain!

YUP how many shows are there that have RST after a good run of UST and have done well.... Farscape is one of them....HEck they are about to have a mini series or did have one.. AND the FANS did NOT diminsh.

I personally did not watch the show BUT only because I did not have have Cable when it started and I was overseas. BUT my sister has ALL the videos and I would watch if I could be assured that I would get an ending worth it !!

I will have to ask her if the Mini Series is wrapping it all up nicely.

I am just so tired of TPTB on many shows getting a BIG head and THINKING they KNOW what the Fans want when WE ARE SCREAMING what we want and they act like we NEVER said a word. THEN they go and do THE OPPOSITE of what WE SAY and then say "Well it was what the fans wanted"....HUH????

I get the feeling they are like that with the whole Pete issue. TPTB attitude is like "Hey we are giving you all this RST with this guy and look how annoyed you are".....And of course all of the Fans of Ship are saying BUT WE DIDN"T ASK for a NEW GUY.......BUT TPTB don't hear THAT

I have loved Stargate but (Don't zat me) I'm about to give up. I'm tired of being jerked around. I liked Stargate because it was set in the present with people I could easily relate to in extraordinary situations. But for adults to be in a UST situation for 8 years - give me a break! Potato head is just a waste of air time when something interesting could possible occur. Have they run out of ideas - this use to be a show about ancient cultures developing on other planets, a little politics, a little religion, a little anthropology, a lot of action and a cast with great chemistry. And FCOL get Sam and Jack together.

I've just been trying to get AIM but every Screen name I try is apparently 'Already in use'
I don't want to change my screen name too much so i've been trying to stick with a name that has Sam O'Neill in it, but every one I try is used!!
Ive tried it with spaces,without spaces,i've tried sammie oneill(various ways), i've tried Grace ONeill(with and without spaces)...nothing works.

Anyone got any suggestions that might work??

Try adding some numbers to the beginning or the end. That's what I did so that I could keep "Critter".

Don't give up!!! I know that Stargate seems to be losing some of its 'oomph'(thats a great word!) but its still Stargate. The reason I liked it was because it was set in the present tense too, i've never really liked the Star Trek series because most of the time I couldn't get my head around the fact that it was so many hundreds of years in the future or something and there were alway loads of different, wierd looking aliens, but with Stargate it was just down to earth, not too many freaky aliens and they had technology that was true to the present world(for the most part).
And yes, TOTB have put us shippers on a huge rollercoaster ride but we will get through it!!! We've got to! We're shippers! Shippers can get through anything as long as we have Nana's Ship cookies, lots of Chocolate, regular trips to the JM Rehab centre and most importantly..each other!
I admit I do miss the stuff that used to be most important in the first few season..eg. learning about new cultures, all the old egyptian mythology and all the team bonding but i'm not ready to give up yet.
To me Season 8 has been good so far, the episodes have been fun and interesting but I do feel that this season should be the last, it just feels right and to me everything seems in a perfect position to bring everything to a close and give all the fans a great ending.

So don;t give up just yet!! Try to hold out until the end of Season 8 and see how you feel...if TPTB decide not to close everything and agree on a season 9(especially without RDA) then I will be worried and I probably won't be as enthusiastic about Stargate as I am now.

I seem to have gone on for quite a while with this I hope it all makes sense When I get into the flow of something I can't seem to stop
