@Foxie: carved butter and fried foods on a stick? So you missed the lutefisk booth and the cow tipping competition, huh...ja, it's hard to see everything you want at the fair...
Weather wise, I too am in the PNW, tho a bit further inland
and it's been sunny, warm and dry here too. There's definitely a drought here in the upper Snake River Plain. But if it stays dry it might mean I won't get soaked on my vacation in Oregon in May... 
Hmmm...haven't been to the dentist lately, but I can attest that so far looking for a house has felt an awful lot like a root canal sans novocaine...

leather jacket, to suits and other civvies, although
they can be most commonly identified by their choice
of headgear.
