She looked great because they laid off the crazy heavy makeup!

Are you saying she doesn't look like the girl next door with the dark hair? I love both the blonde and the dark - though I am now more partial to the darker locks coz it's grown on me...pun intended...or not!

blonde = betty/girl next door, and brunette = veronica/vixen.

but seriously, i just have an affinity for the lighter hair.

As a result I prefer the dark hair. Probably because it was what I first got used to seeing.

i think that's part of why i'm more into the blonde, b/c that's the first amanda i saw and got used to (yeeeeears to get used to )

Some people always say how great Helen looks, and since Helen is 158, I like to joke that she doesn't look 158, but a young 44, which was how old AT was at the time.

AT was born in 1965, so she just turned 45. FYI. I first wondered about her age years ago when I became a S/J shipper. Wondered about the age difference... and I remember that RDA was born 1950 and AT was born 1965, so that's 15 years.

Anyway, I think AT looks gorgeous, and better looking than she did in her early career. IMO, of course!

IMO she looks like a totally different person as a brunette! She was the cute girl next door as a blonde. She's kinda hot and sultry as a brunette! I mean, even her face looks a bit different! It's quite a transformation.

And Sam and Magnus are so different that you can watch Sanctuary & SG1 back to back (i've done it ) and not even think about it being the same actress in both parts, imho.
