I'll post another little teaser. This fic-a-thon has me so preoccupied, lol (btw, in it C/V is my secondary pairing - and so far I have Cam and Vala with kids ... well a daughter ).

Anyhoo here's the teaser to Rumor Has It:

Stopping in front of the familiar door, he gave it a quick knock. Mere seconds later, the door flung open and he was roughly whisked inside the room by an impatient-looking Vala. Cam let out a low groan as Vala mashed her lips up against his, teasing them with her tongue before plunging inside and entwining with his own.

“What took you so long?” she breathed, momentarily breaking contact with him. Not giving him a chance to reply, she rejoined his lips with hers and begun snaking her hands up the back of his neck and into his hair.

Cam's little moment of ecstasy began to fade as something began nagging at his mind and he straightened.

“What?” Vala asked, curious.

“I don't think we should ...” he began, turning to the spot on the wall where the security camera was pointing ... or, had been pointing.

“Oh, don't worry, I took care of that silly little thing.” Vala gestured to the camera that was now pointed facing the wall.

“So you did,” Cam said, rewarding her with a toothy grin. Removing his shirt, he led her to the only bed in the room and took her into his arms. “I just spoke to Landry about our little vacation.”

Her eyes sparkled in curiosity. “Vacation?”

“Mm-hm. I told him we were heading down to Georgia to visit my cousin ... or, rather, that I was thinking about doing it. Ever heard of a place called Vegas?”

“'Vegas',” she said, testing out the word. “Nope.”

“Well, it's a real fun place with a lot of glitz, shows, gambling for money...”

“Oh, sounds fun,” she grinned. “Sounds a bit like Rhondinia.

Now it was Cam's turn to be confused.. “Rhondinia?”

“Oh, it was a planet I visited some years ago. The memories Qetesh left in me spoke of some sparkling, expensive, decedent treasures.” She absent-mindedly ran a finger from Cam's chest down to his belly button. “Turned out they were right, but those treasures were available for a price. They had some form of gambling, rolling a die and coming up with winning combinations. My luck was holding out quite well, until I lost practically all of it.”

Cam stared at her, lost in her eyes. “So, what did you do?”

Vala affected a brief, thoughtful expression. “I waited until nightfall, when they were all passed out drunk and I stole it.” She shrugged, glancing down at him.
