I was in the Aussie military as well; however, that was when I discovered Scifi in a big way. I got glandular fever and spent my recovery time watching all the Star Trek franchises, and I got hooked after that. I love them all but I think SGA is my favourite, just love the characters,the mirth and the humour, it just works.
