    Default Stargate PC Gaming

    Hi all,
For everyone that has been distraught by the franchises lack of interest in developing and maintaining games for this fanbase, I have recently stumbled across an interesting site that has developed Stargate Mod patches for existing game engines. In particular the one I am using is based on the "Star Wars-Empire at war" game. In essence it replaces all the original game charters and ships and buildings and maps with Stargate themes(Stargate - EaW Final 1.1 (English) is the download pack). http://www.moddb.com/mods/stargate-e...-war/downloads
There are several versions for download and instructions with the download on how to patch it. You will however, need a copy of the original SW game (about $17 on E-bay). There is also a new mod pack which will be released later this year called "Stargate-empire at war-pegasus chronicles"which will cover all races across the SG and SGA series' and will allow you to play as one of three different races.

"Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles is a total conversion for the fantastic game Star Wars - Empire at War: Forces of corruption.
This total conversion replaces every single Star Wars asset of the original game with Stargate assets. This includes units, buildings, icons, sounds, videos and so much more.

Pegasus Chronicles offers 3 playable races, the Ta'uri (alliance between Earth and the Asgard), Anubis (a mighty systemlord) and the Wraith.

Beside these 3 playable races, you will meet many non-playable ones like the Replicators, the Asurans, the systemlord alliance, the Aschen, the Ori and many more.
Each faction owns several space and land units and buildings, either well known from the series or completely new ones, invented by us.

Contrary to our first full version for the normal Empire at War, the Final 1.1, the next release contains finished Galactic Conquest maps, in which you can play through the known Stargate storylines.

Many new missions and adventures in the Stargate universe are waiting for you..."

    actual screen shots....Wraith v's Goa'uld and ta'uri v's Goa'uld

Hope you all get into this should be fun!

Not for this one; however, there are versions that run on different game engines that do have an online community. I stumbled across it last night whist looking for STL files for modelling. I will try and find it again and post it here. If anyone else knows of them please post.

Ok here is another link that has stargate mod for the Star trek-Legacy game engine.

Ok, here is a game that has mods to allow the user to use Jaffa staff weapons and from the reviews it is a pretty good RPG.
    http://www.moddb.com/games/oblivion.
And yes this site has mods for the Duke Nukem and Halo game engines with stargate mods, and they do have an on-line community.

Have a look around theses links. Enjoy

There's a sandbox game called Garry's Mod that works off the source engine, it has a mod called CAP (Carter's Addon Pack). It has stargates, rings, shields, ships, asgard transporter, staff weapons, zats, and all kinds of stuff. Since it's a sandbox game, you can basically put anything to use in whatever way you want. It's an online game, so you can build stuff with other players or fight, whatever you want to do. Through a different addon, you can also build ships, which you could incorporate some of the Stargate stuff into. I enjoy it. There's a server called TSCM that is probably the most populated running CAP right now.

I've seen two different mods for GTA: San Andreas recently. I have that game on disc some where. Has anyone tried the mods for it?

This Morrowind one sounds cool. I'll have to look into it.

I started playing this last night and haven't been to bed yet it is excellent, it is not complete yet and these are only playable demos but wow what fun for all those games who love the command and conquer game franchise. Watch the video links for gameplay screenshots.

Command & Conquer Stargate Universe is a MOD developed by a french team on C&C generals: Zero Hour. The final version aims to be a whole new RTS game based on the popular Stargate franchise. The game will provide you with a total of seven playable races (Tau'ri, Goa'uld, Asgards, Réplicators, Ancients, Wraith and Ori), this diversity is due to Stargate world's own diversity (SG-1, Atlantis, Universe and movies). The MOD is designed to be released in three version, each one providing new playable races.

Stargate: "Adventures in the galaxy" (based on men at war) is a big scale single and multi player modification which aims to create the unique and unforgettable Stargate story in Men of war, with many multi-player fractions of course. In single player mode you control SG1. In multi-player you play as Ta'uri, Goa'uld system lords or replicators.

I don't have this original game to try this mod pack; however, there is a 14 minute game play scenario demo that looks excellent, it has great graphics and all the SG1 characters, I even saw chaka at one stage during this demo. link below to the game overview.

When you view a thread, above the last entry to the thread are four drop down menus, "Thread tools, search tread, rate thread and display". When you rate a thread, be it good or bad this is reflected in the forum page (you may notice stars against the topic), obviously from earlier comments not everyone uses this as a guide, but I do and from talking to others they to like the feature to weed out good from bad info.

PC gaming? Hm, the closest thing I know is the old SNES Stargate game played on an emulator(it's about the 1994 movie).
