I think Dave that the winners fighter/s can be tweaked by all of us. After all this is a joint project and no single entry was perfect. And if you're referring to PJ's versions, he is military, like me. He's thinking from the need of fighter configurations, you'll find in any air arm, more than one version of a single aircraft. Our small air force has both the F/A18b and F model's. The US Navy has F18's in many versions.

Ok fine jack, but what we've had in the last three fleets is everyone submits one set of specs, one model, we are doing the models separate. I'm not happy that specs have been submitted with an asgard shield on a fighter, that's not about it being tweaked that's making an other the top ship. How he can make that ship for $88 million is beyond me.

The costs were conservative I agree Dave and in hindsight reading the draft costs put forward previously I'd say you could easily add 70% to those figures. And the general consensus is most of you don't want too much Asgard tech, so the shileds can go and be replaced by something you all can agree on. I'd be happy for you and I to work together on perfecting the fighter if you'd like.

I did a mod version of those specs a while back which PJOZ can ratify again if he wants. They are pretty workable and I don't think PJOZ was ever married the 88 million price tag either. For this kit, 280 million should still be worthwhile for what you get.

well except the Atlantis expedition, every tech shown in SG1, SGA and SGU were developed by the US. I talked about Russia and China because I think they were involved somewhere in the making of the Korolev and the Sun Tzu.

Comparatively, US invested far more money offworld than the whole UE. And we're not even talking about the consequences of the financial crisis (did it even happen in SG universe?).

But you're right about the fact that they still have plenty of money (them and arabian emirates) they could put on colonies. I somewhat believe that the first real colonies will be European ones while the US will only have mining and military bases for a while (probably the Alpha through Epsilon sites).

^^^And as Australia has been in the pocket of every US administration since LB Johnson a lot of minor military tech would be farmed out to US branches of aviation company's here. At any one time there are up to 1200 Australian military personnel on exchange with or entrenched into US units.

Cool. I just quickly went back and corrected some errors with the engine layouts and speeds. I'll leave the rest as is pending results of the voting, though I guess you'd probably still want to use this craft in some capacity.

Collectively the EU is the richest power in the world and there for very important you cut them out they will just do it them selfâ€™s who do you think funded the SGC and Atlantis while the US Russia and china contributed the backbone is Europe because the other three are arguing on who gets control of the gate and ships and so forth so they should be able to colonise since they are more than likely paying to keep the lights on

I really hate to say this Guppy but at the present moment Asia/China and the Pacific region is the largest. And by 2018 China will be the dominant financial power in the world. And during the GFC, only China, Australia and India managed to go through it without being affected.

doesn't mean they'll be shoved aside like that.

also the Atlantis Expedition, we've seen many tags, including a belgian one i believe. if THEY get in, the netherlands get in too. besides they can't possibly show every nation there is. the EU is an "alliance" or whatever it's called between nations, it's not a country on it's own.

just because the writers don't like them doesn't mean they're not in. besides wasn't the gate revealed to France, China, Russia, and two or three others first?

Great Britain, China, France and Russia already knew about it. But I think if the show had run it's course say like Doctor Who and was still going, there would definitely be more influence (theoretically) from any nation or groups that could take part. The EU and the Asia bloc being proabably the two largest and I agree with what you said earlier about the EU being dominate in civil matters.
