A little more info on the guest appearance that Michael filmed in front of a live TV audience in Burnaby, Vancouver last year is now up at MSOL....It's a local YTV Canadian series called Mr. Young and Michael's episode is titled "Mr Poet"...as of yet, no details on when his episode will air...head to the Home Page of MSOL and follow the links for more info on this programme....
I stopped by the square and met Mr. Garson. We chatted about Stargate for a few minutes and had my picture taken with him. He was very nice and had only great things to say about his visits to Stargate. Unfortunately, I had to give him the bad news that there was no more Stargate being produced. He didn't know. He said they seemed to invite him back every five years. I guess he was wondering why he hadn't received the anticipated call.
Watched last year's Red Riding Hood and was pleasantly surprised to see Michael Shanks in a small role. Though he did get to speak a few lines!
Yes...it's not the greatest of films but it's always nice to see our SG-1 alumni making it to the Big Screen....Michael has another shot at it in "Elysium" too, a film starring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster which I think will be ready in 2013......it's only a small part but again, like RRH, it's Big Screen again...
Taking a break from the "scrubs" for a while (or should that be tux and bow tie? ) - there's some news about the Zombie film "13 Eerie" that Michael shot last year...links up to the Trailer now on MSOL....beware (un)dead bodies and gore!...
Doctor Who Series 7 – Ben Browder To Guest Star
Jordan Farley at 02:57pm March 7 2012
The Farscape actor will appear in a Wild West episode written by Toby Whithouse
Usually we’d add series news of Doctor Who series 7 guest stars to our ever expanding Doctor Who series 7 accumulator, but today’s news is so exciting we felt only its own story could do justice.
According to this month’s Doctor Who Magazine (via Doctorwhotv.co.uk) Farscape’s John Crichton, Ben Browder will appear in the third episode of the series. An episode written by Toby Whithouse and set in the Wild West! Too. Much. Excitement.
The issue also, allegedly (we say allegedly because we haven’t clapped eyes on it personally yet, so take this as, say 62.5% confirmed until we do) says that Saul Metzstein (Micro Men, Upstairs Downstairs) will be directing the episode, that episode two has been written by Chris Chibnall and that the second block of filming will cover two episodes written by Steven Moffat and directed by Nick Hurran.
Browder, of course is best known from his time on the superb Farscape, as well as a lengthy stint on Stargate SG-1. Most recently he popped up in an episode of the fifth season of Chuck, much to the surprise of SFX as he was one of the few guest stars we hadn’t heard would be appearing on Chuck months in advance. With any luck this could mean means he’ll be the next Mark Sheppard (or is that spot already taken by Aaron Ashmore?) and will be appearing in sci-fi shows galore.
