    Spoiler:
“Standard hit and run Darling?” colonel Hutton, of the firestorm Edinburgh, asked major darling, of the firestorm Manchester. “Or show our strength and use formation attacks?”

“Just call me Major Phil colonel, and formations would seem to be a good plan. There should only be two cruisers and a hive.”

“Yes, but this is a ship construction facility, I seems strange that they would only have a hive with its escorts guarding it.”

“Ok, lets do hit and run strikes sir.”

“But that would show we feared them, and that is what they want.”

“Look, you are the one deciding, make up your mind and stop testing me!”

“Hit and run it is then.”

Two months had passed and the firestorm was about to go face to face with a wraith hive with its escorts. The only two out of production, they were already making quite a name for themselves. Two 304’s were ready to join the fight in case it got nasty and the wraith had hidden reinforcements. The shipyard was a major target, and colonel Hutton was taking great pride in this. He had not been captain that long and it was strange for Major Phil Darling to be taking orders when he knew what the ship could take.

The great flashes of hyperspace dissipated as they came to a halt. A red moon was sitting above the planet like a small marble. The yellow desert of the planet was like a beach ball compared to it. But one thing was clearly visible. A vast purple array of tentacles that leached onto the planet, like an octopus grappling with prey, they attached to a main bulk that was in a low orbit around the planet. The moon was nearly twice the size of the strange ship. The vast construction facility was starting to spew fighters forth. Thousands of them came out, but after a few seconds, no more came.

“Evasive manoeuvres!” Phil said. Fire the beams into them and dry them up a bit!”

Four beams of plasma ripped through the swarm. The cloud opened up and then filled in again. It was like a huge ball of water. The rail guns started to open fire and the thudding of guns could be heard from inside the small bridge.

“Major Phil, what are you doing?” Colonel Hutton's voice said over the radio.

“Saving my ship! I’d advise you to do the same, sir!”

They twisted around and the cloud passed over. None of them hit the ships. But small blue bolts smashed against the shields.

“Will you need assistance?” the voice of one of the captains of the 304’s asked.

    “Ye...” Phil started.

“No, we can manage!” Colonel Hutton interrupted.

“Shields at 60%!” The Scottish co-pilot stated.

“Keep firing and back against the Edinburgh!”

The ship sat behind the Edinburgh’s engines and covered the behind.

“Should we launch fighters?” The Scottish co-pilot asked.

“Hell no! Why would we do that?”

    “because the Edinburgh just did.”

“What?” He leaned against the yellow viewing glass and looked in horror as eight f-302’s flew out of the hangar. “Colonel, pull your pilots in for the cruisers and the hive, not for the fighters!”

“But we are too close to do any damage to them. They are unmanned” Four of the f-302’s were swarmed and four beams smashed into the swarm clouds. Hundreds of wraith fighters were destroyed.

“How many are out there now?”

    “Seven hundred.”

    “Out of?”

    “Two thousand.”

“We’re going to need help with that.” He said as several hyperspace windows opened. Wraith war ships burst out of them. They floated like beasts on a leash. The cruisers soon came in.

“On my mark fire two beams at both of them.” Colonel Hutton said through the radio. “Mark!”

Four beams splashed against the shields of one of the cruisers and was enveloped in a mighty explosion. The other four hit the lone cruiser. They slashed against it at different times and in different places. The ship looked to still be intact but a pulse from one of the battle ships destroyed it.

“Seven war ships? Man. We’re going to need that backup.”

    “Right you are.”

The hive floated as if it was enjoying the show. It did nothing aggressive towards them and was slowly turning to get a better view of the battle.

The war ships started to move as the last pieces of the cruiser exploded. A great volley came flying towards the two tiny ships.

“Concentrate on the target.”The colonel said as the yellow screen flashed to life and a red reticule surrounded one of the warships. “Fire!” Eight beams flew out towards the warship and did next to nothing from the looks of things. The bolts started to cloud and if back up didn’t come, evasive manoeuvres would be useless.

Two hyperspace windows opened and two 304’s sped out. Two beams flew out and polished the surface of the great construction facility. The hive opened fire with a volley as well.

“I can’ot ‘old her cap’in!” The Scottish co-pilot bolted as sparks flew out of the panels and consoles. The Edinburgh was taking a huge beating.

“Retreat!” Just as the words left his mouth, a blue bolt flew into the Edinburgh’s shields. They fell. Another bolt broke its spine. Two more incinerated to left hangar and another went right into the bridge and out of the back of the engines.

A window formed in front of them and the flashes of hyperspace returned to them once more.

    Aftermath

The ship production facility was successfully destroyed in a second attack by earth on November 17th. The war ships were too late to help and the hive orbiting retreated as the facility smashed into the planet and sent shockwaves through space. The memory of Colonel Tomas Hutton will be remembered as captain of the Edinburgh. And will be honoured with a ship being created in his name. The commanding g-99 of the cruiser-class, the g-99 Hutton

yea it makes the wraith uber in a fashion that makes all that happens in SGA non-existant.

seriously, how come wraith would EVER be able to overcome the bashing we did. itsits a cleanup job not a fresh war!

fine i'll do it over. just a waste of a few days. you could have at least waited for the next ark which explanes the giant ship building place.

To be honest, every fight would be a "cleanup job" and not a war when we have the asgard beams...

I just realized something. in one of the first seasons of Stargate we actully built an energy weapon.

it was a particle beam. something totally different from a plasma weapon. episode "a hundred days"

in S7 Avenger 2.0 we have Felger's failing energy weapon and in s10 "bounty" we have the X-699 rigged to fail and modded by carter to fire 1 perfect shot. then in Continuum Vala carries an X-699, apparently functional

So why dont we use particle beams? I mean i have read tons of novels and seen many TV shows that use them and they cause some serious damage

                      Because it's not stargate tech.

and what do you think of my Eurofighter idea?

That particle beam is as close to beeing a weapon as the LHC. oh, and about the eurofighter, we probaply dont even understand how the small zats work and your putting a large modified version on fighters? at best it could be a jaffa weapon.

we have tokra allies who can build the things. they even supplied them!. seriously, there's so much tech we have and never seen again... like the LNq powercore on the Eurofighter: had it for ages, know how it works yet cant make it, while we are making other alien technologies like crazy, which are MUCH more advanced. its just stupid.

and that particle beam was small and quite powerfull. now imagine a big one mounted on a ship with ample power!. or an electron beam cannon. slicing through armor like its nothing!. really, there are 100's of techs that can help us own the wraith, aside from the obvious Drones and APBW's. a normal accellerated plasma beam can cut a hive in half with no problem, its just a bit bigger than an APBW, yet its fully in OUR capabilities. electron beams, ion beams, better nukes, MAC cannons, bigger railguns, etc etc etc. only TPTB refuse to make us realistic and prefer super alien weapons which are unnessecarily uber

ok for the sake of keeping my arc going: most is made up on the spot aside from the basic idea i have behind this arc. how they get the hell out of there? i have an idea. alot actually.

                              April 5th , 2009

Mckay entered the briefing room of the SGC. The entire SGC was modified to act as a deep space sensor station, detecting alien threats and tracking, guiding and steering the human fleet. Now it was a crisis center. Oneill was already present, accompanied by carter, mitchell, and vala.
“so, we have ourselves a crisis,” mckay started. “luckily the shield around the building keeps the asgard in. question is, for how long?”
“can't we just nuke the place?” O'neill said. “shield keeps the explosion in so zero collateral damage.”
“you can't nuke the IOA,” Mckay responded.
“of course you can. Toss a little nuke in and done!”
“are you serious? Killing all IOA members?”
                              “never liked em!”
                              “even woolsey is in there!”
                              “exactly my point”
“who's gonna fund the programm then”
                              “we'll figure out something.”
                              carter mixed into the conversastion.
“jack, he's right. We cannot nuke the IOA. It would be bad from every point of view.”
Vala thought a second and then spoke. “why dont we use some of these energy guns and just go in guns blazing?”
mitchell almost laughed. “you do know thats suicide?”
                              carter thought deep.
“actually that isnt stupid. The X-699 was designed to be flawed. But the international Gateforce has put renewed interest in a human energy weapon. Bill's working on it.”
                              “Bill?” Oneill said with disbelief.
“hes a very good scientist. He shines at long-term projects.” carter said.
                              “alright..” Oneill continued.
“i thought we only had one or two of these guns?” Vala asked.
“maybe...” Mitchell started. “do we store the weapons we find offworld?”
“ofcourse” Carter said. “what do you want to do with them? Most weapons wont dent their shields or armor!”
“if you think ori staffweapons suck..” Mitchell said in a suggestive way.”

                              ***

Vala, Mitchell and Carter teamed up. Two teams of marines would come with them. All were equipped with ori staffweapons.
“time's up,” Oneill said while entering the room. He pointed at the TV screen. A man stood atop the IOA building, in front of an Einherjar. A moment later he was pushed off. The man fell down, only to be saved by a net spanned by firefighters. Ion blasts rained down and killed over 7 men, including the IOA representative. It was clear that the Vanaheim were not to be played with.
“wow” mitchell managed to bring out, everyone was clearly affected.
                              “lets go,” carter said.

                              ***

A jumper silently flew through the air, cloaked. It passed through the IOA building shield and landed. The teams ran out and the Jumper flew away. Drones couldnt be used as the weapons would destroy half the building. Mitchell fired at the front door, blasting it open. Carter, Vala and Mitchell ran inside, closely followed by 8 marines. They were lucky, if they had been hunting Einherjar. At the other end of the lobby, an Einherjar stood, waiting for them. Plasma blasts flew through the air coming out of the two Pistols he held. Plasma blasts hit its armor, and after ten shots little that would remind of an Einherjar was left. Vala, Mitchell and Carter ran to the Einherjar's position. Mitchell and carter secured the area, “clear” was shouted all around them. Vala looked at the bent and scorched metal, and found what she was searching for: the Einherjars Ion rifle. She picked it up, put the Ori weapon on her back with a strap, and they continued. Further down the lobby and into a hallway was a ringstation. Vala activated the Rings and everyone stood upon the platform. Meant for common use, the rings were much larger than normal. A flash of light and the sound of rings surrounded them and they were at level 8, as far as the rings could take them. The Einherjar had blocked the rest of the rings out. A familiar sight: annother Einherjar on patrol. The teams ran to either side of the hallway: they were at a T-split and the Rings were in a large niche. Vala and mitchell left, Carter right. The remainder ran in the hallways at the sides, trying to flank the Einherjar. Mitchell fired his staffweapon. A laser had been attached to improve accuracy. A blueish-white blast hit the Eiherjar, which had raised a shield and was pounding at them with Ion fire. Pieces of metal and concrete were blasted away from the corners. Mitchell fired again, and pulled back his staff again, only to find that the top half was missing. Vala gave him her Staff, took the Ion rifle and shot several times at the Einherjar. An Ion blast nearly hit her, as Vala managed to duck just in time. Two ion blasts hit the Einherjar, significantly weakening its shield. Vala fired again, and Mitchell and Carter finished the job. The metal-encased fragile alien was dead. Mitchell ran towards the Einherjar, took its Ion rifle, shouted “Clear” and they continued. “Team Beta come in,” Mitchell started. “please give your status.” nothing but ruse. Mitchell repeated several times, but no reply came. “they cant be dead...” Mitchell said with fear in his voice.
Carter looked at an Ancient Lifesigns Detector she had taken with her. Oneill had already activated it for her. She looked at the readings. “there's a jamming field active. Not only beaming, but also radio is offline.”
she glanced at Mitchell and Vala. “then we should continue.”
they went up annother level. An Einherjar had just been dispatched to check out the others. After a heavy battle most certainly destroying a quarter of the entire level, blasting out several walls, breaking more than two dozen windows, six computers, over a dozen chairs, tables and furniture, a coffee machine, the biscuit can, and several thousand dollars worth of other equipment, the Einherjar met its defeat. A Stungrenade rolled over the floor, timely disabled by an ion blast and a crater in the floor.
Carter was the last to Acquire an ion rifle, analyzed it for a moment, whispered a “wow” and used the strap to put the Ori weapon on her back. Mitchell looked around. They stood at the center of devastation. “well, I never liked the building in the first place,” he said, smirked and turned around. The last floor. It was like a video game, but then in real life. They walked up the stairs. Mitchell was suddenly hit by a yellowish bolt and fell back. Two einherjar fired at them. Carter followed soon, and Vala, bravely defending herself yet miserably failing despite the powerfull weapon in her hands, was the last to fall to the ground.
