Well..someone who has done fx for a bunch of different shows posted some dimensions for the Daedy.

According to him the daedalus is exactly 740m in length, 690m minus the front antennas, 370m in width and 104m in height without the antennas.

I'm not sure how he's got the numbers..but the peoples over on sfm trust him.

I thought the Daedy was 700M long not with the atennae, 400M wide and 150M tall not with command tower, with tower I'm thinking 160M tall. but that's just me

very nice weapon there I like it alot, were almost there on the redoing the military now. We have weapons, ground vehicles, organsiational structure, numbers, support...its coming together. Im planning to write a battle today, and maybe finish off an old one. So you might get a nice treat today if i can get round to doing it. Please post battles everyone, it would be a serious help to me and buba.

-Adnihlo path to Earth-

On the boundary of where our core heartland territories are there is a military base, Avalon. Named after galaxy of the milky way it is a public aclaimed research facility and military stronghold. It is home to a large compliment of scientists and military commanders. It is special in many ways, not only is it a vital boundary marker for the Tauri and other races, it is the site of a major Ancient military base. This military base was used to develop one of the most advanced weapons developed by earth so far. This was not only a special facility for Earth but it was an ancient weapon research facility and here was the place they developed a beam cannon which would later become one of thier most effective weapons against the wraith. Ancient beam cannons are able to tear a wraith hive apart in a single hit. This planet has 15 varient beam cannons all in fully working order. it has a drone missile production system and a fully working ZPM with drone chair. It was part of an outer earth defence network that has no stargate and therefore survived the dakara devices destrction of the plague. It is unique in that it is the only working and surviving ancient wmilitary bases in this galaxy. But is on the subspace routes that the ancients carved out to earth. A route that the adnihlo will follow to our homeworld on thier path for its destruction. Today, the 14th of january 2055 is the day the last ancient base make a final stand agaisnt the adnihlo.
The Adnihlo dropped out of hyperspace with a massive fleet of warships, this was a fleet created to destroy the Tauri, its single purpose. 81 Adnihlo motherships, 460 Cruisers and a supercarrier for thousands of Adnihlo fighters.

Ancient/Tauri:
15 Ancient beam weapons

Adnihlo:
81 "grace" motherships

1 Adnihlo supercarrier
3000 Adnihlo fighters

The base detected thier approach in orbit their ships were positioned, out of range of the satalites and drones, they were to watch and aid the base but not to get in its way. If the last base of the Ancients was to be destroyed, so would the fleet that came to destroy it.
The Ships exited subspace and were greeted by a force of ships which were not to be underestimated. The Cruisers were sent in first, up against our fleet they were still formidable adversaries, our fleets could fight hataks all day but each crusier was well above a hatak and we were significantly outnumbered. The Thors launched misisles, hundreds of missile trails headed through space, they impacted the ships, row upon row of explosions, we took out several dozen cruisers in our first wave. They opened fire, our shields were beign hit by fast firing plasma weapons, not powerful but dropping out shields 10% per minute, our main motherships moved to attack. The Deadalus and Connies were in range and opened fire with ion cannons. Cruising through space the ion shots sped through the shields of the crusiers on first hit, taking down shields, their additional hits blew up dozens of crusiers, after several dozen were destroyed the ion cannons became less effective. At this point they had only just developed a defence agaisnt our ion cannons, we could still use them like the tollan, taking shields down first and then destroying later. But now it changed to the motherships.
As our fleet battled the massive cruiser formations near the moon, the base was ready. From the surface the planet came alive, the beam cannons began to fire, the beams were heavily damaging the Adnihlo motherships, after 2 volleys the beams had damaged 6 ships and destroyed 3. The Adnihlo could pinpoint thier location and fired unto the planet, the base was shielded, they would not fall easily. The Beams continued to fire, their second wave took out the damaged ships and damaged another batch. The Adnihlo had combined 12 of the ships to form a single "eye beam" it fired on the shields of the base. It shields were dropped from 80% to 40%. The Silo of drones now opened and out shot 3000 drones, up in to space they sped. As they coursed through the atmosphere the Adnihlo launched their fighters to intercept. The Drones were being intercepted in the hundreds but the Adnihlo did not have the ability to block them all. As the planet fought back the fleet fighting the cruisers was losing badly. Only 7 Connies, 5 Dantes and 3 deadalus remained. The Thors were destroyed.
The Adnihlo were finally hit by the drones, 1800 drones were remaining and cut through the fleet, however their shields were tollerant to drones from thier first war, they hit the shields and went through but their hulls and the fleet in general were remarkably resistant to them. The drone volley took out 14 Adnihlo motherships. The Beam cannons had continued to destroy further ships. The Adnihlo had charged thier weapons again and were firing, a massive 16 ship beam hit the base, the shields were beaten and the base was virtually destroyed, only the highly defended drone silo was intact. In flames the beams, base and drone silo had one last ditch attempt to beat the Adnihlo. They fired all drones and beams. As the Silo drones sped toward the ships, and the beams charged adn fired another beam came forth from the Adnihlo, as it sped toward the planet it crossed paths with the beams and drones. In a direct excange the base was obliterated but at the same time another 10 Adnihlo motherships were destroyed.
In awe the surviving defence fleet retreated prematurely to Earth, to warn them of the force coming for them. The Adnihlo had 48 motherships and 310 crusiers to destroy Earth with. And they will use everything they have to destroy the homeworld of thier eternal foe.

"Yes Jacob, they are coming, this may be the greatest battle since the Wraith, prepare; recall all vessels within range, summon the Valdir and Pheonix II, we have little time, but we shall meet them here, if Earth is to fall then it shall go down in a blaze of glory that has never been matched."
"Yes sir, the remaining Avalon ships are on thier way, they will be here in 36 hours, the Adnihlo will be here in 3 days. "

What, we have no F-30_'s standing by to defend Avalon? I mean, fighter vs. fighter combat is what keeps bombers and enemy starfighters from ripping our defenses to shred, right? So what happened to them...?

dude I loved it! Especially the closing paragraph very ominous.

The only problem for me was the strength of the Cruiser weapons I think they should be a lot stronger. 10% a minute isn't much at all. Oh and also I don't think our Ion canons should have been cutting through shields at all...I think there shields should resist Ion canons as normal.
