I do not think that they are either of those because they built the device that transported Melborne and jack to a moon instantly. The races you talk about do not strike me as being that advance. But just naturally advance.

Maybe a few nox decided that they just didn't want to live that peacefull so they took some of the advanced tech and started to build a second culture The Furlings.

omg... like i said in one of the other 32344 thousand Furling posts.... they where either Destroyed by the Ori.. or they became the Ori .... it would make sense since the ancients figured out how to assend.. and the furlings where just as advanced and apart of the councel of races !

the furlings got kicked out of the alliance for some reason then got pissed at the ancients so changed there name to the wraith and wiped them out. nowhere does it actually say they are furry. The only time mention was oneill thinking they would be

2. they got pissed at the ancients for siding with the nox and asgard
3. they changed there name to the wraith and kill all the ancients
