Mitchell calls Carter "Sam" Gateworld says. Maybe they're cousins! I know, that's really random thinking on my part

I think the chumminess is to show how he isn't really a new character, he's has always been there just offscreen.

Or maybe using "Sam" is just the normal familiarity we all have with someone we work with. From what I understand, when you're the same rank, you don't have to do the "sir" stuff, thank God. There's no reason why either of them can't address the other by their first name.

... Hey, anyone else think that this sounds like that one Star Trek Voyager episode where Paris is accused or murdering this one guy and is forced to live through it over and over again?

It's not so much bashing the writers but hoping they can come up with more original ideas.

Of course, if they remake "Spock's Brain," I'm there! That episode was one of the funniest things I'd ever seen on TV...

This sounds like a pretty good episode......it almost reminds me of the S6 episode where Jonas was seeing things before they happened......and it always resulted badly.....i forgot the name, but i think it was on of the last episodes of S6. I think these episodes are similar because they both would seem to focus on the new guy, trying to expand and create new aspects to their character more quickly, which is not a bad thing at all, IMO. Sounds pretty decent, TPTB will probably add more depth than a whodunit.

When I first read this I thought of an episode of Star Trek: Voyager called "Ex Post Facto". Mainly because of the memory transferness of it.

Anyway, that aside, this episode sounds great!

Season Nine just keeps looking better and better!

In the infinite expanse that we occupy, whose to say that something's impossible?

People shouldn't moan when certain plots are done...its not the plot that matters, its how they go about it
