You're correct, I don't think I've ever even heard of it. Seems, according to TV.com, that it aired back when my family had only one TV. My sci-fi habits were not on the top of anyone's list. The bunch of Philistines.

Incidentally-when I was checking TV.Com I noticed that the thumbnail picture for their Sci-Fi section was SGA, and for their Action/Adventure section was SG1.

Last year, there was a similar tournament, determining the best episode from S1 through S7. I wondered whether the way episodes were voted off would result in a much different order overall besides top-down vs. bottom-up.

Although the S1-S7 tournament had 20 episodes less, it ran only 5 more rounds (154) than this tournament, so I could compare the results somewhat.

The list goes from Need, which faired 88 rounds better in this tournament and therefore was better (i.e. it was voted off in Round 52 here, but in the S1-S7 tournament only made it to Round 14, which would be Round (154-14)=140 here) to Homecoming, which was voted 61 rounds worse compared to last year. There were also many episode that were very stable in both years.
