Round 39:
The Nox
Hathor
Holiday
Urgo
The Other Side
Watergate
The Tomb (let's BURY it!)
Need
I don't HAVE to always say anything, but I'm just soooo opinionated. Stargate fans are pretty thin on the ground around here, so when I get a chance to talk about it, well, I just take it!
While I'm not an overt Sam/Jack shipper, I like romance and happy endings as much as the next person, so I don't mind seeing it. On the other hand, it wouldn't totally ruin Stargate for me if they don't wind up together (I'd be disappointed, but not crushed). That said, I've never been to either the ship or anti-ship threads. From reading some of the threads on the forum, I see that passions run high on both fronts. I can understand that; I have some things that would cause me to turn my back on Stargate (with sorrow), and I hope the show never goes there--anyway, where was I? Oh yeah--it's interesting to read both perspectives on the Sam/Jack ship and see where I agree and disagree, but I'm glad I'm not quite as invested in it, since the show has a definite point of view on the S/J shippiness.
Katrine, re: The Other Side; Jack's reaction seemed a bit mean-spirited to me--as if he were more angry at being deceived than at what they were actually doing (of course what they were doing was horribly wrong--but did that make Jack as mad or was he even angrier that he was somehow misled by them). I wonder if he might have made a more reasoned action, if he had had time to think about it. At least, that's the impression I came away with--it's been a while since I've seen that episode, so I could be remembering it incorrectly.
