Well, they rewrite some stuff, time mostly. I mean think about it, its not liek they're gonna take the books off store shelves or stop the books being printed as I write this, no, the timeline in Star wars is a mess to begin with, so many areas unexplored. really what they're doing is just expanding and moving things around. That is my guess. I mean the Thrawn Trilogy might not happen right away as the inital timeline suggests. For all we know it could take place later on. Or maybe the movies might even go further into the future for all we know.

But then there is no mention of the Solo kids....

My Star Wars knowledge doesn't reach beyond Episode VI -- and from what I could glimpse of Kathleen Kennedy at Celebration last July she was a classy lady, so I would think she'd treat George's franchise with the respect it earned.

She would be hard put to treat it with less respect than Mr. Lucas himself has.
