Here's a little tale to make you smile.

A few years ago I was at a friends wedding.
And after all the speeches I was asked to come up to the 'Top' table and was formally introduced to the Bride and Groom's parents. Being a friend of the Groom I was welcomed and asked to sit down.
The conversation was about how I knew the happy couple and was it it true that I'd introduced them to each other. That of course was true, and how I was at the wedding.

The Groom got up and went to get a round of drinks for the table. I offered to help. But he told me to stay put and look after the bride. That got a laugh from everyone...

We were then joined by a young man called 'James'. James has a bad habit. He opens his mouth before engaging his brain, after several drinks this habit is more pronounced.
He looked at the Bride with a puzzled, slightly confused look.
Sarah, the Bride, asked, "What's the matter Jim. You looked confused?"
James said, "A little. I was wondering whatever happend to the 'dizzy' blonde that John used to hang around with."
It went very quiet at the table.
Sarah looked at James, smiled and said... "I dyed my Hair...!"

You know... i think it might of been spin off fan fiction!!
Right at the beginning the author was banging on about events that had happened before (Something about "There and back again.") Read a few fics were they have to summerise source material at the start of their fic to - *pokes Sara*
Come on: "Lord of the Rings"? J.R.R Tolkien pretty much covers everything (everything) in the book. Why do i need to write fan fiction about it?

Yes...I enjoyed the trilogy, but by the third trip 'round Mordor, I was ready for Sam and Frodo to get caught! Oi! *stands before Orc troop, waving and pointing to hobbits cowering by side of road*

With the epic scale and all the linguistic stuff, I keep joking that ATWLB is what you'd get if Tolkien wrote SG-1 fanfic...

(I may as well laugh at myself... everyone else laughs at me...)

I think that's probably a fair assessment from what I know of you

SF & C emailed me an interesting PDF this morning. She was going to post here about it but I think something glitched or she's very busy, so I'm doing it in her stead.

Some of you may have encountered it before, but anyway, it's called the Turkey City Lexicon. I won't say much more, but it makes for interesting reading - I know I'm guilty of several of these things, and used to be guilty of nearly all of them at some point or another!

I suddenly have an uncontrollable urge to break out the red editing pen...

Oh, one last thing:
