also what the heck is Reputation on here? i've gotten some but have no idea what the heck it is.

See the little green boxes beneath our names and ranks? They say how much "reputation" you have. The little black star in the lower left hand corner of each post is the way you give "reputation". It's like the facebook "like" button or kudos.

oh that reminds me, what do you guys think is better, just calling each chapter chapter 1, chapter 2, chapter 3, or giving then there own title?
i currently do the 1 2 3 but i have wondering about the other method.

I think it depends on they story and/or the author. Sometimes you use chapter titles to tell your reader something important, sometimes it's just a matter of style. Some people don't like to see the numbers, others don't want to have to think up title after title, after title. Considering even novels appear both ways I think it's one of those things that's always going to be a matter of personal opinion. As for me, I do both and it purely depends on the story I'm telling.

Same here. Story length plays an important role in my decision too, though. After having written several stories with length varying from 25-80 chapters I found it harder and harder to come up with chapter titles! Nowadays, I only do it when I think it's important to the story and the story isn't too long.

Personally for me either one works, numbers or actual titles will do, sometimes I do both. other times I don't even number and just title, other times I just number {in roman numerals}, other times if its small scenes or "deleted scenes" I just put the name of the scene and mark it as "DELETED SCENES"

For me it depends on the story as well. I like using titles, but not all of the time.

If I have a hard time coming up with an overall title, I'm not going to bother with chapter-titles. I prefer the I-II-III method anyway. Unless it's a very, very, very special story.

Chapter 3 Wild Card From the Stars (what they were)
Chapter 4 Terran consolidation (getting things to gather)
Chapter 5 Military Build Up (what happen)
Chapter 6 Terran invasion (what happen)
Chapter 7 SG-1 and the Mystery ship (what happen)
(started to have fun)
Chapter 8 Neighbors (the first half of the chapter)
Chapter 9 Siege of Tilma (what was happening)
Chapter 10 A wall of Lightning (a defensive weapon used during the battle)
Chapter 11 SGC meet the TF (what happen)
Chapter 12 To Serve Man (a small side story in the main story)
Chapter 13 These Are The Voyages of TFS Volia (main part of the chapter happen there)
Chapter 14 Botany Bay (a throw way joke in the chapter)
Chapter 15 The X-303 (the majority of the chapter)
Chapter 16 Life a Funny Thing (ahh chapter was all over the place, just passing time with Chareckter (OC and) development and a surprise at the end)
Chapter 17 United States of Valennia (where half the chapter happen)
Chapter 18 War Hero (still underproduction name may change if the second half is bigger then the first half)

As to your chapter titles, I like a lot of them. Personally though, when I initally name a chapter, title and all, it changes as I write the chapter out

yeah i can see that thankfully that was all hind sight well escept for the war hero one who on the chopping block because that part is on the chopping block because it may be to out there

They sound fine. I can't usually name as I go, because I have an OCD/ADD Muse: she changes her mind so quickly, I develop whiplash.
