        Indeed, though I managed to attend the festivities rather easily. Figment got everything screwed around though at the Institute. 'Twas fun

          Exactly. Had a good long talk with hubby last night, and we discussed, among other things, the fact that we don't care what BB does for work, so long as he's happy doing it.

          Just got a call from BB. I sent him to the recruiter to fill out the forms to request his ASVAB scores (85, BTW!), and they talked him into doing his MEPS next week. Whoo hoo! Now to see if they can get him started before August, which is when his recruiter told me was her first opening.

                  I've had to put a message up on 'Facebook' saying that I am unsure if I'll be attending any Sci-Fi conventions this year. I do hope to attend a Con. But it's the case of which one...

                  I am attending the MCMExpo/Memorabilia Event in Birmingham (UK) in March as I have booked the time off.

                    I just read a news article about an eighteen-year-old American boy/man who had been suspended from school because he was being bullied (the school said he'd threatened to take weapons with him to take care of it but everybody else involved denies this happened) over the fact that he'd been doing porn movies on the side to help support his family's income since his mother couldn't do it on her own anymore*... Just saying, there are some jobs you might not want him to get!


                    * The boy's mother was apparently aware of his job and fully supported it but someone at school had recognized him in a movie, hence the bullying. I believe it was gay porn which for some reason made it so much worse, but apparently it's only him that gets bullied and not the person who actually watched/recognized the movie (and supposedly enjoys watching gay porn). Anyway, after word got out the school has said he's allowed to return and finish his education.

                    Sam's life takes a turn in an unexpected direction when she's faced with an unplanned pregnancy. The decision to keep the baby and raise it on her own will alter her life forever. Relationships are put to the test, especially the one between her and Jack. She doesn't know what to expect from him and he surprises her at every turn.
