Fanfic Writers' Virtual Water Cooler

Loonies and twonies rock. We have a dollar coin over here, but you don't see them often. I'd far rather use coins for a denomination that small, instead of paper money. There's nothing like digging into my wallet to pay for something and encountering a fat wad of green paper, only to find it's mostly singles. And for that matter, our cash could use some color, too. That little bit they finally threw onto some of it? Still boring.

And now, to turn water into whine: Waaah! I wish people were actually reviewing my fic on FF.net! They used to, but now hardly anyone does. It's almost enough sometimes to make me wonder if I've scared my readers away, or annoyed them or something.

When I've visited the States, I hated the fact your money was all green! I would spend so much time making sure of the denomination!

If Stargate has taught me anything, its that a 12 gauge shotgun shell is the best thing to use on (replicator) bugs *hands one to SF and Coffee* HAVE FUN!!

If the ants get into my computer, all I can say is that I hope they run faster than the gerbils I've been using. This thing is slower than I don't know what.

Have you a) run a virus check b) gotten the dust out of the computer, c) gotten rid of temp files and emptied the recycling bin?

All of the above are ongoing maintenance I do all the time or my programs do for me (I use ZoneAlarm Extreme Security, so no need for a virus check, as ZA does it automatically every day). The lone exception is the dust, since what I really need to do is dismantle the thing far enough to clean the fan and I haven't had the time or patience to do that lately. I live in a house with forced air heat, so the amount of dust around here is incredible, and having three cats doesn't help any.

Those are the main three (solvable) problems my computer comes across. I think min'es possessed on occasion.

Mine's some sort of Frankencomputer made of stuff that survived five-hand-me-downs and was finally given something new three years ago.
