Nad's Oh, Joe... *shakes head* Poem
Oh Joe,
You should be carefull with snark against a Shippy one
Oh Joe,
Walk on your toes. Even if the snark seems fun.
Oh Joe,
Are you aware of the complications of all that?
Oh Joe,
Before you know it, you will be pooed on just like Brad!
Oh Joe,
I know you're lurking, to see the Shippers rant.
But Oh Joe,
If someone catches you, they'll lynch you where you stand...
Oh Joe,
Don't make us giggle, for we are Shippers too.
Oh Joe,
if someone hears us, we'll get banned because of you!
Being original is difficult when you can't stop quoting your favorite tv show, For crying out loud!
And to show how very drunk I am right now, I just dropped a pack of 40 frozen cocktail sausages on the floor and it took me a good ten minutes to realise that I didn't actually have to count them as I picked them up, because that could've taken all night(having got to ten and lost count and started again..... and again)
Drunk is good. I did something similar the night before my sister in law died. We knew then, of course, what the next day was going to bring and my best friend (sister in law's daughter) and me got a bottle of brandy and half a dozen bottles of wine and just carried on until we were utterly senseless. Even if it's not a long term answer...well, face it nothing is when you lose someone you love. You laugh and you cry and everything is extremes of both. I have lots to say on grief (heh, I work for a charity that supports people through grief and loss) but there's time for that when it's right.
hmm, I don't really have PB of PTB - I mosty snurch from you guys so I will sit back and admire but I have to comment on:
...because I dont think that's one I've seen before and it's mighty fine.
In the spirit of sharing good stuff, I will tell you all about my new neice, now I have had a chance for a cuddle. Her name is Milan, she weighed in a 6lb 15oz and is utterly gorgeous. She so tiny and looks so much like her older brother.
I have one little picture, but, alas, none of me having cuddles since I was too busy taking pictures to snap one of myself. Tomorrow I will try and take one.
Spoiler:
Baby Milan
Aww, I am so so broody now, it's not even funny!
As for my own little man? Do you want to see what he thought of his new baby cousin?
Spoiler:
Yeah, typical boy. More interested in his dinosaur than the baby.
And while we're talking about internet friendships:
We sit and we type,
And we stare at our screens;
We all have to wonder
What this possibly means.
With our mouse we roam,
Through the rooms in a maze;
Looking for something or someone,
As we sit in a daze.
We chat with each other;
We type all our woes;
Small groups we do form,
And gang up on our foes.
We wait for somebody
To type out our name;
We want recognition,
But it is always the same.
We give kisses and hugs,
And sometimes flirt;
In PMs or IMs we chat deeply,
And reveal why we hurt.
We do form friendships -
Yet why, we don't know;
But some of these friendships
Will flourish and grow.
Why is it on screen,
We can be so bold?
Telling our secrets
That have never been told.
Why is it we share
The thoughts in our mind
With those we can't see,
As though we were blind?
The answer is simple;
It's as clear as a bell.
We all have our problems
And need someone to tell.
We can't tell real people,
But tell someone we must;
So we turn to the computer,
And to those we can trust.
Even though it is crazy,
The truth still remains:
There are Friends Without Faces,
With odd little names.
