The tut

1. I took these two pics.

With the smudge, clone and the eraser tool I blended them together.



2. I made a new layer, set the blending mode to Color, and painted the eyes with color #7ad4f5 (light blue). I lowered the opacity to 65%

3. I put on this pic

set to Color Dodge. With a large soft brush I erased the parts that were covering the other pics.



4. For the coloring

New Adjustment Layer -> Curves

Point 1: o 170; i 150
Point 2: o 138 i 128

5. New layer filled with #f7ee05. Set to Soft Light. Opacity lowered to 70%.

6. New Adjustment Layer -> Selective color

reds: -100; 38; 17; 0
yellows: 0; 0; -70; 0
neutrals: 30; 5; -26; 0

7. New Adjustment Layer -> Levels

Input levels: 22; 1.00; 243



8. Made a new stamp (Shift+Ctrl+Alt+E)

9. set to Lighten, opacity 45%.

10. Dragged the stamp from step 8 on top of the texture and set it to Screen, opacity 40%.

11. New Adjustment Layer -> Selective color

reds: -21; 22; 0; 23
yellows: -74; -28; -52
cyans: 41; 0; 0; 0
neutrals: 19; 3; 0; 0

12. Black & White gradient map, set to Soft Light, opacity 50%.



13. set to Screen. I moved it to the left corner and erased everything I didn't want.

14. set to Lighten, opacity 75%.



15. Duplicated the stamp from step 8. Dragged it on top. Set the blending mode to Overlay, opacity 80%.



16. Added some kanji brushes (the symbols for courage, eternity, loyalty, and wisdom). Plus some other text brushes along the edges.

17. Wrote Helen Magnus in 'MarcosHand'

18. Made a one point stroke around the sig.
