I love flying and I generally have no fear for something I can not prevent. Just hope everything works well and that my flight won't be start earlier because then I would get trouble with my timeplan.
I am more afraid of not getting in time to the airport/ forgetting my tickets/ passports/ stuff, because that are things which happen to me more often than crashlanding with a plane.
I absolutely adore flying. Can't get enough of it. I'm more afraid of that stuff too than flying.
I'm getting the heebie jeebies though, the last time I flew I went to see my brother, and it was the day after the liquid bomb scare at Heathrow. That was really scary. Fortunately on this occasion I was going to East Midlands airport and not Heathrow (one brother lives near LHR, the other near EM - I more often travel to LHR) but there were armed police *everywhere* and security was so tight even little kids were getting searched. We weren't allowed pretty much anything on the plane with us, I had some money, my ticket and passport and that was it. No phone, mp3 player or anything like that. I was fortunate my flight was only about an hour long, but some people were travelling to Australia and Canada. Imagine a 24 hour flight with nothing to do.
It seems every time I fly, something bad happens just before it!
