i think its cuz its against the religion. your not suppose to 'Defile' or 'Mutilate' your body?

The reason is because you are supposed to consider your body a temple, which means not putting anything disrespectful in it or upon it. That includes drugs (not the over the counter ones) and tattoos. A lot of piercings are frowned upon as well.

Wonder what the farmers make of 9, 10 & 19.

What everyone makes of 19, which almost all clothing is made up more than 2 materials. While 27 has to do with haircuts & shaving.

Therfore what does it matter since we're all guilty of 19 & 27 anyhow!

Not to get into a religious debate. Definitely a no no. But there are two trains of thought with that. Different religions focus on different aspects of that area of the scriptures. Not that people pick and choose what they follow, but that some of it does not really apply. The farmers leaving a portion of their fields untouched, for example, is really about tithing, which is giving 10% of your income to God, which means, leaving food on the ground to help the poor. At the time of the Bible, it was just more practical for farmers to leave part of their crops in the fields for the poor. Each one of those Biblical statements can be seen in the way I just described if you consider the times in which they were written. Also, the Bible has been translated from Ancient Hebrew. There are clear examples where it has been found that certain passages in the scriptures have been translated incorrectly. So, don't assume that everything you have read is written in stone.

I thought that people who get symbols tattooed, should get them on their foreheads too. Funny how no one seems to agree with me. I bet Teal'c would. Anyway, Mama Duck, from the Creation Entertainment Conventions, has a big Ba'al symbol tattooed on her back.

What happens if you get a tattoo with Mum/Dad on it. Is that not honouring thy father or thy mother? Don't possibly see how anyone can follow that one but blindly ignore all the rest.

I have 3 tats, but don't think it'd be a good idea to get one from a fictional show. Although I'm sure a few of the various Gsymbols could be tweaked to look good.
