I think this weekend is going to be as amazing an experience as we allow it to be, regardless of whether Fri night is spent at the cocktail party, or in the lobby/pub =D It'll be great to get to see everyone all dressed up, I agree!


So ... is it too early to start speculating on colours yet?

And yeah, for those that don't get any, hey folks, remember,t here's a waiting list and it's a long 10 months. Stuff happens, people can't pay, things happen.

so don't despair

and those that dont get any, you guys can plan something else amongst yourselves.

*coughs* 9 months on my fingers, Sky... (don't count November or January!)

But all I can do is echo Sky - things do happen. I didn't buy my AT2 con ticket until at least a month after they'd gone on sale (I'd never been to a SG con and figured the great word-of-mouth AT1 had gotten & the fact I'd never been to England was a good reason to finally break down and go) and was duly placed on the waiting list for a cocktail party ticket in January. And it wasn't until, oh, about a month before the November '06 con that I got an e-mail saying a cocktail party ticket had become available and did I want it.

I felt so bad that the couple that had initially purchased their tickets couldn't attend and that it was through their bad fortune that my good one was being made, but I can tell you that both of us - me and a young woman from L.A. (an aspiring actress and also a first time con-goer) that also benefited from the couple's cancellation - we were very grateful for the opportunity. So like Sky said, things do happen, and none of us ever know what tomorrow may bring.

And because lately with work, I've only had the time to sneak in here 'bout once a week, I'll go ahead and take the blame (and duck the rotten fruit, chocolate, peanut butter, and other assorted sundries that may be lobbed my way) and start the lists.....

So life has been busy. I was at the office until about 5:00 p. m. yesterday so just missed the post about the cocktail party tickets. Dragged my butt in at 7:00 a.m. today and will be here all day. Decided to check the thread before starting on work. Then had to immediately check my e-mail. The bad news is that I'm going to have a hard time concentrating on work today because the good news is I got a cocktail party ticket! Woohoo! Not bad for a Luddite. I will never curse my computer again.

I guess I won't be at your table this year as I guess I didn't get a ticket. BooHoo But I did get to sit next to Amanda last time so I shouldn't complain. I will still enjoy being with all my GW friends for a great weekend of Stargate talk.)

And I am happy for all the folks who will be attending as it was a wonderful time--as GABIT is so GOOD at what they do!!!

I agree - let's just chill until the G4 confirms that everyone who is going to be contacted re: cocktail tickets has been That way those who got it can break out the champagne without worrying about those who are still in the balance, and those who didn't can start planning the pub parties and whatnot, eh?
