starting to get extremly nervous and panicking though. Still have to do so much and seems like a lot of it isn't even in my hands

my bankaccount is still not sorted out yet. I mean I know it would take a while but this long Not funny to be honest. I am pretty sure my visa will not be okay by the time I get to AT3 so I will probably have to ask my mom's visa or without and to be honest, I prefer not without it But we'll see eh.

I decided to not take my computer, cause I am sure there will be some with a computer if I would need one lol.

still need a dress for the first night. Red isn't really an issue, got load of that lol.

and need to start to think what I need to take with me and stuff. yes I need a lot to be done.

at least hotel and trip are kind of sorted out

From Heathrow's website today April 5th: "A small number of BA flights operating from Terminal 5 may be disrupted. If you are travelling from Terminal 5, please call 0800 727 800 or visit www.ba.com for more information before departing for the airport. All flights from other terminals are operating as normal, including BA flights not operating from Terminal 5."

I've a GW friend who just did the once-daily long-haul flight from Heathrow to Vancouver earlier this week and I know she was extremely worried about her and her hubs' luggage making it there (I would've been too after hearing British Airways has gotten over 25K pieces of luggage separated from their owners!) and she did a lot of creative packing to ensure everything they really needed got packed in carry-on (hand luggage I think is the British term?). But everything worked out fine and she had a safe flight and *all* of the luggage arrived with them.

I surfed Heathrow's site and it appears American Airlines (which I'll be flying) uses Terminal 3 for any arriving from the States from Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, LA, Raleigh-Durham, Miami or NYC. So we should be good except for the usual luggage concerns.

(And don't even mention luggage concerns or packing... I haven't done a thing! Not even pulled the luggage out to wipe the dust off it!) But I don't fly out 'til evening, so there's always that morning to pack....

Ahh thank you for this little bit! I was kinda concerned reading all these posts about Heathrow's issues. I have which flight I'm going to take picked out and will most likely be buying it come Monday. Thankfully it's an American Airlines flight roundtrip AND I'll be flying out of Chicago's O'Hare. *bounce*

Oh and going shopping *freaks out cos she HATES to shop* tomorrow to look for a red top and some basic necessities that'll I'll need for the whirlwind weekend. After that it'll be just the basic impatient waiting on my part for the day to arrive since I have pretty much all my money and day's off issues sorted out.

Ok problem of getting weekend off solved. I'll be taking the week before the convention and the Sunday of the convention off as Annual leave. but i'll be working the Wednesday and Thursday night of that week. So i'll be having 6 nights off leave and getting paid 6 nights.

I'm going to book my train ticket in a minute.

YAY! That is good news...and reminds me I should book my bus ticket doopy doo.

Anyone coming transatlantic REALLY needs to be careful about what they pack in their belongings. T5 at Heathrow is having more than a few teething problems.

I am SO glad I fly Denver to Manchester (via Chicago)....yikes!
