just wanting to know for a thing I'm working on

The meet-up is for the GW Gabit Con attendees,plus gatebee.The current list is a little further back in this thread.

As this thread is for Gabit Con related talk/planning only,it'd be better if you ask the posters in the Sam's A Great Character Thread...or better still,open a new thread stating what your project actually is.

Looking at the list, I will be the only one not attending the Gabit Con. So I shall bring my own badge for the Bistro get together. As for the orange something, I guess that does not involve me as well. I am so excited. I even bought myself my own digital camera.

Will office-type clip on badges be ok ? Or do attendees usually make their own ?

ETA : Idea ! I suppose all we need are some large-ish round white (or bright orange ?) metal badges...I need to go to the stationers tomorrow.I can ask the manager if she can order in some.
Then if I take them with me to Gabit,we can all just write our names on ?

Hi everyone. I'll be attending Gabit as well and am really looking forward to it. I've not been fortunate enough to meet Amanda before and as she's my favorite character on the show I'm thrilled to be able to finally meet her.

I'm attending on my own and am a bit shy and hesitant to try and approach a group of people - You've all generally known each other so long that it's a bit daunting coming up to you all! If you see me there please say hello - I'm the short fat one with her hair in a pony tail.

I'm not staying at the hotel so will be travelling in each day and will unfortunately miss all the evening events. It all sounds like fun though and I hope you all have a brilliant time there.

I really like the idea of badges with orange on them in honor of Amanda's favorite color and bright ones sound even better. Consider me in. Thanks for doing the legwork again Baggie (((FHB)))

Work out the costs,and I'll repay you at Gabit ,or just "up" what I'm planning on donating to your Hearing Dogs For The Deaf event.
(ETA : We've got 17 on the main list,so maybe 20 badges needed ,in case of any more Gabit attendees joining us ? )

I just spent a fruitless hour or so comparing prices,styles and delivery times.
Only a few firms locally/online could offer less than 100 badges,some don't do orange anyway,and overall,the best offer was 50 badges @ 32p (+p&P) each for a plain orange badge (54 mm diameter)..but the delivery time was 3-4 weeks. That's cutting it too fine,imo.

Not so much legwork as fingerwork on the search engines and the phone keypad .Send that hug to flippy,as she has to make a badge for everyone,thanks to me.

Okey dokey. What do you want on them then? I can make them all the same design or you can have a design but with individual information on it like GWname and real name. I can include a photo of AT if you like or some sort of logo and whatever background you choose - altho I guess you're going to go for orange!

The badges are 5.5cm so there's a bit of space to play with. I have enough badge parts left to make about 25-30 badges so unless there's a sudden influx of GW/Gabit goers we should be okay

The last date I'll be able to make them up is Oct 25th so plenty of time

I don't require any money for them as it's just using up some I had left over...tho if anyone would prefer a keyring instead I have more of those parts!

I like both designs. I would prefer the badge with just a picture of Amanda and not the other symbol, I am not even sure what that is. That would be my only suggestion; just a picture of Amanda. Orange is not my favorite color, but I really like the solid background.
