On an unrelated note: (One of my best friends is a paramedic here, he just went up a level to the advanced kind, who can sub in for a doctor in some instances if there is no doctor present, I have huge respect for all of you who do that kind of job, it's really tireless, and I think you're all incredible!)
As far as I know the Canadian advanced grade is the same as our state registered paramedic grade over here in Scotland- we have two tiers, technician and paramedic, and I'm of the latter. I generally love the job, but there are times I could see it far enough- such as dealing with drunks and junkies on a Saturday night when you know all your mates are out having fun, lol.

Okay, now I feel left out- I either use a silverish/ kinda gunmetal grey case if I have stuff that's squishable or an olive green british army rucksack if there's nothing squashy and I have lots of trains and things to negotiate (rucksack means hands are free so can faff with personal stereo en route, lol).
There is no way on god's green earth that I'd been seen with a pink case, I'm so not a girly type, LOL. I'm sure those that have met me IRL would heartily agree!
