However, she's not definitely going to be staying in the hotel, she might stay with friends in London, and she'll be there with her partner, so things might work out better if we share. I dunno yet... just musing.

The friday night I might be quite tired. I'll be doing postgrad study of some kind and will be coming from a full hard day's slog. But I'll make sure I'm up for a party

A party is a party whether you're just sitting there drinking a beer or a nice cup of PG Tips just gabbing away about everything and anything. Meeting all y'all will also be the highlight to my weekend with AT and just to be in good ol' England gives me extra tinglies.

P.S. I so want a Wimpy burger (are they still around?) and some Fruitips Black Currant Pastilles. Yum-yum. Not all at the same time mind you.

It hit me for the first time today that I'm actually going to meet Amanda, and I just burst into tears (Note to other Gabiteers: Bring Diving equiptment). I was totally overwhelmed by it all.

Up until this point, I've been one hundred percent focused on the fact I'm meeting you guys and was really excited about that. For me, meeting you guys is gonna be as important as AT, cos you guys are the ones that I chat to every day on here. It'll be nice to put names to faces.

As for the party, that's fine. We don't need to hit the town at all. We could go to a local pub, or stay in the hotel with biscuits and tea and cadbury's dairy milk (I promise I'll bring some suitably English things with me to munch on, as well as some British pencils for Skydiver)

Nobody believes me when I say that I am quite shy. I used to be painfully shy! If anyone had told me that I would be able to talk freely to the actors from my favourite show, face to face, I would have laughed at them. But my first con was SG2 with Amanda, JR, Don Davies, Teryl and Peter Williams. I laughed the whole weekend, met and chattered to all of the above, particularly Amanda, and also made the beginnings of some wonderful and lasting friendships. The world was opened up to me via the internet, and the rest - as they say- is history.

Don't worry about meeting Amanda. She's a sweetheart and just like ' the girl next door'. As Michael Shanks once said - "That's quite a neighbourhood!"

There wasn't any option when I registered to be put on a backup list since the Party is sold out. (Although I wonder if there is a waiting list... in case someone isn't able to make it (which ain't gonna happen!))

Mumsey, is there a list on Yahoo or the GABIT forum? Or would an e-mail be sufficient to ask? If there were any openings I'd love to be considered.

But otherwise FHB... I'll be out there with you watching and gabbing and taking plenty of pix as Kligs, Rune, Kat & Bev come waltzing through in their festive finery...
