My goal this week since I'm working nights (yuck) is to finish my skirt for my abnormals ball steampunkery. I'm not sure what posessed me to make the skirt myself other than the fact that what I wanted was hard to find premade. But oy. I'm a decent seamstress, but these victorian patterns have pretty awful instructions.

So far my checked list includes: flannel pjs, cocktail dress, jeans, boots... is there a gym at the Ren?

Yep there is a gym at the Ren, not very big, but it's never been busy when I've been in there. Now I just don't have the time - too much to do when there!

I have figured out which luggage to bring, and about half of the clothes (still debating footwear).
I even broke down and am being sensible about my coat ... so my much-loved leather jacket is staying home this time around. (Dad says the airline should give me a discount for reducing my weight Those of you who have tried to pick up my uni jacket will understand -- it's a bad thing when the parka weighs less, right? LOL)
Now to book train tickets!

On an OT note, nice to know chivalry is not dead. Kudos to the gentleman who followed me as I pulled off the road yesterday (since he saw sparks coming from my car), loaned me his phone to call for assistance and then drove me home when the assistance wasn't coming for 5 hours.
