Stargate Atlantis's Fifth Season is Being released in the UK from May 11th and the boxset comes out over here on the same day as Volume 5.1... a bit different to the last few years...

I hope they bring out a box set with all five seasons, not just make you buy the one with the first four and then the fifth one on its own. Also, I hope they bring it out in Australia less than a year after it is released elsewhere...

According to Tvshowsondvd.com the complete fifth season of Stargate Atlantis will be released on June 30th.
Also, the special episode collection featuring "Enemy at the Gate" and an extended edition of "Rising" will be released on Blu-ray only. (Kinda annoying for people who want the extended episode but can't afford a Blu-ray player)
And the Season 5 box set is currently priced at $69.98 (almost $20 more than previous releases. Definitely a wtf move on their part)

So is this special extended version of The Rising only going to be available on Blu? That stinks. I suppose they will put it into a complete series set as well, to try and get us to rebuy (like with the extras for SG-1).

Okaaaaaaaaay...having checked both Amazon and Play (UK) am I right that season five is being released a disc at a time, or am I missing something obvious?
And at the prices quoted (either 12 or 13 £s per disc) you're talking about £61 for the whole season? The princely sum of $87? Please tell me my maths is wrong again...
