Nielsen just put out a report that DVR penetration as of May was 25% of U.S. households. It was about 22% in January. Last May, it was about 17%

In regards to having a bigger lift from Live + same day to Live + 7 now than it did in the winter, I don't think the increase in penetration is big enough increase it by a third (300,000 viewers to 400,000 viewers), but we'll have to see...if we ever get the information.

You would think more people go out in the Summer though, meaning they will DVR and then watch later. I am hoping SGA can get that 400,000 to 500,000 lift it was doing for the 2nd half of Season 4.

Well this season is off to a better start than last season with that 1.35! Just have to hope those DVR numbers will really bump the numbers.

I am hoping for a 1.6 for the final number.

Whatever it is, we won't know the final number until another 2 weeks or so. I can tell you that "S&R" will likely grab a 1.6 HH rating with approx 2.2 to 2.3 million total viewers.

Most of the SCI FI shows do not see much increase after Live+7. The only shows that truly benefit from this are Eureka, BSG, and yup SGA. Eureka may see some lower numbers for their live but DVR will bump them also.
