I didn't bother comparing 'S&R' to 'Rising', the way I see it a series opener and a season opener are different, one sets the series up and the other builds off last season setting up the new.

Indeed ...if you think about it, both 'No Mans Land/Misbegotten' and 'Adrift/Lifeline' were really 2 part season openers as well.

Okay, just watched the episode... holymoly....

Just wanted to know what you guys thought about a few things:

1- That whole frontypart where they skipped like all over the galaxy with all the planets and stuff: awesome, but what in the world was that about? It seemed kind of different for stargate.

2- Any ideas on what happened to Kanaan (he wasn't at the base, was he?) or Michael (whom I doubt actually died)?
