The New and Improved Anti-Carter on Atlantis -thread...

Well, from what I have seen the Atlantis cast and crew love her. Some fans maybe angry, but she is fitting in very well according to everyone on the show.

but realy would anyone say a bad thing against a fellow cast and crew mate?
and i dont mean in a personal way because that would be a realy unproffesional and an awful thing to do. which realy has no relevance to what is shown on the screen. i mean in how season 4 shapes up kinda way.

they never said a bad word about season 3 till after it had aired then had to admit to the irre eps and so on.
i think i would be even more worried if the people in the know were saying anything bad about season 4 already.

I know, I wasn't denying that. I'm well aware they loved Torri. I was juat stating a fact. I read it in a blog that was written by someone who recently visited the set and saw filming for 'Quarantine'. This person has admitted they were worried about Sam coming over, but after seeing how she was with filming and with the cast, they are more positive towards her transition. This tells me that we will not know what happens until we see s4, and some anti's could actually enjoy her in the role. I find this article pretty misleading.

how did you find the article misleading? i took it as the editors personal opinion on season 4 and its changes rather than a statement of fact. and realy arn't all magazines / newspapers notorious for being biased one way or the other sometimes they will fall towards the pro sometimes as in this case towards the anti.

i just found it interesting to see there take on things.

I'd just like to state my position as a AntiCarter in S4 of SGA.

Why?

1.) ruins the team dynamics
2.) diminishes Sheppard's responsibility
3.) brings Miss Know-it-all (character) to a series that was supposed to stand on it's own
4.) hints that we may be subjected to constant McKay-Carter sexual banter
5.) places her in a position that is not the best use of her talents
6.) is a slap in the face of everyone that was on the show from the start, like they were the cause of low ratings. (which isn't true, bad writing was)
7.) Her contract is up in a year, what will they do if they get a season 5 and she wants a break? Replace Carter with yet another person? Bring back Weir?
8.) adds confusion as to how she can be at Atltantis and yet on missions with SG1 in the DVD movies

Need I say more? I just don't want her in SGA at all. The character has gone from a likeable one to one that I now roll my eyes at. Thanks again Skiffy for pushing for changes that weren't needed, and ignoring ones that were.
