I had no idea there was a Dr. Zelenka Appreciation thread. I always just go to the thunk thread since it doesn't go overboard like the Daniel one.

In any case, I really like the character. He's my favourite non-main character, and possibly my favourite character over all (

I think that Radek is one of the nicest guys you could come across in Atlantis. I love his accent as well, it's just brilliant. My favourite scenes involving him are when he's arguing with McKay or when he was frustrated.

Critical mass + kids = funny pic of Radek.

Won't say anymore about it, some people will understand what I mean.

I'd really like to see an episode that has a lot of Zelenka. Maybe he gets captured by the Genii or something-forbid-and the team have to find him, it would put a lot of strength into the character. Don't worry he wouldn't get too hurt.

I'm writing an Atlantis/Dr Who crossover at the moment and I having Zelenka play a major part. He kind of takes Rose under his wing and gets to see how the Tardis works before Rodney does, which annoys the hell out of Rodney

I'm writing an Atlantis script myself. Zelenka has a pretty large part in it. They come across an Ancient teenager who was captured by the Wraith 10 thousand years ago. She's only just escaped. When they take her back to Atlantis a number of things start to go wrong so they think that she's a Wraith in disguise and put her in the holding cells. Only Zelenka thinks that she's innocent and they try to prove the others wrong...

Something along those lines anyway..

Thanks for liking it so far, yours is really cool, soz I didn't say it before. I love Dr Who and to have both Zelenka and McKay in the TARDIS would be hilarious.

I had a Zelenka dream last night, which is odd because I stopped watching Atlantis last summer. Or maybe it was a David Nykl dream. I don't remember an accent....

It was a sort of "Eraser" or "Terminator" thing. Very dreamlike.

I think it initially derived from a D&D-type game I've been playing lately, only it was contemporary. But when the action ramped up, there was Zelenka getting, um, I guess "escorted' is the word, by Sheppard. When they got into a car (a bad tactical move, in my opinion at the time) and were being shot at by someone with some dramatic gadget with no sign of effect, I distinctly remember Zelenka looking at himself, the interior of car, and Sheppard, and shouting "Why hasn't he hit anything? What is he *using*?!"

Well, Sheppard got him to safety, bringing him to some sort of thinktank that apparently Zelenka had heard of (he said something joking about a department for "Ray Gun Research"). I had the idea it was something to do with defenses against strange technology. I think McKay and Weir were some of the researchers. The dream started to break up at that point. I remember Zelenka looking for something, and a big sign on a wall, and a breakfast/strategy session, but that's about all I can make sense of.

I wish I could remember more context. There could have been an AU fanfic in there somewhere.

That's what I'm hoping for, I want Zelenka to get to grips with the Tardis and McKay to be left behind, I want to give Radek a break, if you know what I mean
