I guess from the con reports that Joe and David are good friends and I know from watching SGA that that was one of the reasons that John and Rodney worked so good as slash or just friends.

I'm from the UK, but i fully support repealling this ridiculous, out-dated, archaic rule that we tossed out in 1990! If the repealling goes ahead gay, lesbian and bi soldiers can finally be open with who they are without risk of repercussions!
